Constellations of Kaeya
Kaeya has several interesting constellations:
Excellent Blood (C1) increases the critical rate of normal and charged attacks by 15% if the enemy is frozen;
Never-Ending Performance (C2) extends the duration of the elemental rampage when you defeat enemies with ;
Glacial Whirlwind (C6) generates an additional stalactite during the elemental rampage and restores 15 energy points.
How to play Kaeya in Genshin Impact ?
Kaeya has a rather simple gameplay and can be played as support or DPS.
As a carrier, it will be used primarily to create elemental reactions related to the Cryo element and to provide Cryo energy.
His elemental skill Frostgnaw materializes a freezing blizzard in front of you. This inflicts Cryo damage and generates energy particles, which is quite handy for recharging your Cryo characters' elemental rampages more quickly.
Thanks to the Glacial Heart passive, enemies frozen by the skill gain up to two extra energy particles.
Kaeya's elemental rampage Glacial Waltz summons 3 stalactites that swirl around him. These follow the active character for 8 seconds and deal Cryo damage to enemies. This skill is Kaeya's biggest strength. You can launch the attack and switch characters to generate elemental reactions.
So for a support build, the trick is to only increase Kaeya's elemental rampage and elemental attack. If you want to play him as a main DPS, you'll also need to upgrade his normal attack.
What is the best equipment for Kaeya?
Kaeya's build in Genshin Impact will depend on how you want to play him: DPS or support. In the first case, which we'll look at in this guide, go for equipment consisting of weapons and artefacts that maximise her ATK as well as her damage and critical rate. A little advice for a support build, focus on artifacts and weapons that boost his elemental rampage and your team as a whole.
The best artifacts for Kaeya
For a support build, one of the best equipment choices is to go for the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige set. With 2 pieces, you increase the damage of the elemental rampage by 20% while with 4, the ATK of all characters will be boosted by 20% for 12% after activating the skill.
But if a member of your team is already wearing this set, opt for only 2 pieces of equipment to combine with two pieces of Blizzard Strayer and increase the Cryo damage by 15%.
Do you prefer to play Kaeya as a DPS? In that case, we recommend the 4-piece Blizzard Strayer set to increase the critical rate by 20% when attacking an enemy affected by the Cryo element and by an additional 20% if they are frozen.
You can also combine this set with two pieces of Gladiator's Finale or Shimenawa's Reminiscence to increase ATK by 18%. Or two pieces of Pale Flame or Bloodstained Chivalry to boost physical damage by 25% if you want to play Kaeya in physical DPS.
The main statistics to be favoured in all cases:
Hourglass: ATK%;
Cut: damage bonus Cryo ;
Crown: critical damage or critical rate.
Secondary statistics :
ATK% ;
Critical damage ;
Critical rate (especially if you did not opt for the 4-piece Blizzard Strayer set) ;
Energy Recharge;
Basic mastery.
