The captain of Special Security and Surveillance Patrol is finally here, bringing in tons of damage buffs for her teammates. Genshin Impact Chevreuse is an Ousia-aligned Pyro polearm character that specializes in buffing Overload team compositions. And if you're lucky to get her but don't know how to use and build her, look no further, as we've got everything you need to know about the Pyro Support from Fontaine. Keep on reading to learn Chevreuse's talents in Genshin Impact, constellations, build, equipment, teams and more.
Chevreuse is a Pyro character who provides tons of buffs to Electro and Pyro characters in an Overload reaction-dependent team composition. Apart from it, the Captain from Fontaine is also a reliable healer. But in order to make her kit much more effective, players must be able to focus on the right build and stats.
Noblesse Oblige is Chevreuse's best-in-slot artifact set if you're building her as a support and if no one in your party is using this set. Casting Chevreuse's burst while equipping this set will instantly grant her teammates 20% attack buff.
Fontaine's newest artifact set, Songs of the Days Past is a great alternative if using Noblesse Oblige is not possible. This artifact set converts the total amount of healing done by Chevreuse into a damage buff.
Ideally, Chevreuse must be able to reach 40,000 HP to reach the maximum 40% buff. Hence, an artifact set that heavily increases her health is recommended. Like other characters that need to stack HP, Chevreuse can make use of the 2-pc Tenacity of Millelith and 2-pc Vourukasha's Glow. However, this option should only be considered if you cannot reach the recommended HP using the artifact set mentioned above.

There are plenty of options in the game that you can pick depending on which stats you lack. For Genshin Impact Chevreuse, weapons providing HP and Energy Recharge are recommended.
Favonius Lance adds a decent amount of Energy recharge to Chevreuse and does a great job at helping Chevreuse and the rest of the team cast their bursts more often. This is a great option if you're using the full HP build and lack enough energy recharge.
Although Black Tassel is a 3-star weapon, it can be your best option if you're only aiming to stack large amounts of HP. Due to it being a 3-star weapon, you won't have to spend more to obtain and refine it.
The craftable spear from Fontaine, Rightful Reward is a perfect match for Chevreuse, which provides lots of HP, and also restores energy when she is healed.
Staff of Homa may be an expensive choice, but you can also give this weapon to Chevreuse, especially if you are also aiming to use her as a sub-DPS.
The choice in Genshin Impact Chevreuse's best teams is rather tied to her passive talents and constellations which favor Electro and Pyro characters, and the Overload reaction. Fortunately, there are Genshin Impact characters that fit this requirement that can accompany Chevreuse.
Players can deploy the Raiden Shogun as the main DPS of the team, alongside strong buffers such as Kujou Sara and Bennett to swiftly obliterate any opponents in sight. In this kind of team composition, Chevreuse can easily chime in, trigger the Overload reaction, and significantly increase the Electro Archon's damage.
The Yoimiya - Raiden Shogun and Bennett synergy has been around for quite a long time, and is perfect for non-stop overload reactions. Due to this very reason, Chevreuse can become a great addition as she has the ability to increase the power of Yoimiya as the main damage dealer and Raiden Shogun as the off-field sub-DPS.
An overload team composition consisting of Xiangling, Fischl, Chevreuse and Bennett is an excellent alternative. Although it only consists of 4-stars, this team is something that cannot be underestimated, especially at C6. Xiangling and Fischl's consistent Electro and Pyro damage allows you to capitalize on the continuous overload reactions, and the inclusion of Chevreuse can make this synergy more powerful.
For a polearm user, it is rather odd that she can shoot at enemies from a safe distance, but that’s thanks to her musket. Chevreuse is a Pyro character capable of dealing tons of AOE damage. She has a straightforward kit, which makes it easier to understand how she works.
Her elemental skill, Short-range Rapid Interdiction Fire, Chevreuse will fire her musket, dealing pyro damage. After doing so, she will restore the health of the active character based on her max HP. You can also enter the aim mode to fire a more precise shot. If she has an overcharged ball, she will fire it instead, inflicting damage in a larger area. However, players must consistently trigger the overload reaction in order to obtain overcharged balls. Using this skill, Ousia-aligned Pyro damage will also be dealt periodically
On the other hand, Chevreuse's elemental burst, Ring of Bursting Grenades, certainly speaks for itself. Upon triggering her ultimate, Chevreuse hurls an explosive grenade that splits into smaller explosives after a short period. Both explosions inflict Pyro damage.
Chevreuse's passive talents, on the other hand, cater to characters who greatly benefit from overload damage. If all of her party members are either Pyro or Electro, she provides the "Coordinated Tactics" buff. This buff shreds the Pyro and Electro resistance of opponents affected by the Overload reaction facilitated by your characters. Meanwhile, her second passive talent enables her to provide attack stats to her nearby Pyro and Electro characters by 1% for every 1,000 Max HP. Hence, players that will build Chevreuse will need to get 40,000 Max HP, for a maximum 40% buff.
In order to reach level 90 with Furina, you will need the following materials:
1 Sliver, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunk and 6 Agnidus Agate Gemstone as well as 46 Fontemer Unihorn, which you can obtain by defeating the Millenial Pearl Seahorses.
168 Lumidouce Bell that you can locate with the help of the Genshin Impact Interactive map.
18 Meshing Gear, 30 Mechanical Spur Gear, 36 Artificed Dynamic Gear
Genshin Impact Chevreuse has an impressive set of constellations that is valuable for her team and makes building her much easier. Beyond her support role, unlocking these constellations opens up new playstyles, making her a versatile addition to any squad.
Her first constellation can be helpful in a team composition consisting of energy-hungry characters as it restores energy, enabling smoother rotations. For players aiming to swerve into a different role, obtaining her second to fourth constellations makes Chevreuse deal more damage through the hold mode of her elemental skill, allowing players to turn her into a powerful DPS character.
Finally, unveiling her sixth constellation is absolutely worth aiming for to fully unleash the potential of support Chevreuse. Getting your hands on her final constellation gives your team tons of healing, and when they are healed, they will also receive at most 60% Pyro and Electro damage bonus.
Revealed as a 4-star character, players aiming to have Chevreuse in their team can obtain her from the wish banner, alongside other rate-up characters.
Chevreuse will make a grand entrance from January 9, 2024, to January 30, 2024, during Phase 2 of Genshin Impact Version 4.3. Both banners in this phase will showcase the Pyro polearm character. Consequently, players have the opportunity to obtain Chevreuse by pulling on either of these banners
Hailing from Fontaine, Chevreuse is the respectable Captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol. She is often seen at the Beaumont Workshop, who always keep a sharp eye on the most expensive and advanced components for her musket.
The Pyro polearm-wielder support from the Nation of Justice was born on January 10 and is believed to be around 23 to 25 years old. She is a purple-haired girl with a black eye patch and stands 160cm to 165cm tall. It seems that she has a knack for Overload teams, with her color palette mostly consisting of red and purple.
That's everything you need to know about Chevreuse. Despite being a 4-star character, she is a strong pick and comfortably slots herself into meta overload team compositions that can be deployed to defeat the toughest opponents in the overworld and Spiral Abyss.
