Fate War beginner's guide

Fate War is a survival game with deep and rather complex gameplay. Want to get started? Before you take your first steps, read our Fate War beginner's guide. We'll give you all the advice you need to get started!

Fate War beginner's guide: the basics of gameplay

Fate War is a realistic survival game. Your objective? Develop your village, expand your territory and confront enemy threats. In this Fate War beginner's guide, I'll take you through the basics of gameplay to help you progress:

  • Managing resources: these include food, water, wood, stone and so on. You need to allocate these resources strategically. But be careful! These resources can be stolen by other players, as Fate War is also a PvP game. So it's not a good idea to stockpile more than you need. In fact, if you need extra resources, take a look at our Fate War codes.
  • Tribe management: the members of your tribe (i.e. your village) must be assigned to specific tasks, depending on their characteristics. Some are capable of crafting items, others of exploring, and so on. So it's essential to grow your population in line with the buildings in your town, so that you can expand more easily.

  • Defence management : in this beginner's guide to Fate War, I'd advise you to choose an easily protected location for your tribe. You'll also need to construct defence buildings to protect your inhabitants. Some resources are specific to the defence of your base, so you'll need to use them wisely.
  • Expeditions: These are an integral part of the gameplay, because as well as providing a host of challenges, expeditions also allow you to obtain some very important, and rather rare, resources.

In this beginner's guide to Fate War, I'd also advise you to be vigilant about the health and morale of your inhabitants. If they are unhappy or in poor health, you run the risk of reducing your resource production!

Managing your base to get off to a good start

In this Fate War beginner's guide, here's some advice on how to optimise the management of your base. It's important to understand that knowledge is essential in the game, as it's what gives you your power. For this reason, it's best to put aside buildings dedicated to resource production at the start of your adventure, and focus on knowledge buildings.

Managing your troops in Fate War

When you start out in Fate War, you'll probably want to train your troops as quickly as possible. That's a mistake!

Troop training in Fate War

In this Fate War beginner's guide, I'd advise you to wait until you have Tier 4 troops, as there's no point in training your T2 troops and spending resources, as they'll be replaced very quickly.

Fate War hero guide

In this beginner's guide to Fate War, it's essential to look at how you manage your heroes. When you start the game, you'll get Baldur, Rex and Elia. I suggest you concentrateon optimising your hunters, i.e. Baldur and Elia. Why should you do that? Quite simply because hunter-type heroes give you a boost in resources, thanks to the Black Forge.

Don't hesitate to maximise your hunters very quickly, to increase the boost they give you even more! Later on, you'll get more hunter heroes. And if you want to know who the best characters in the game are, read our Fate War tier list.

Is Fate War a free-to-play game?

Fate War is indeed a F2P game, but if you want to progress more quickly, you can choose to spend a little real money. In this beginner's guide to Fate War, I suggest you spend a few euros on the Golden Moon Pass. For a very affordable price, you can speed up your research and construction and unlock some very interesting VIP benefits.

Final tips for getting started with Fate War

In this Fate War beginner's guide, we've given you all the essential advice you need to get off to a good start. Here are a few more useful tips:

  • Complete all the quests: by completing them, you'll progress more quickly.
  • Farm the overworld: Once you've unlocked the overworld, you'll be able to hunt and explore. I'd advise you to target enemies from the Black Forge inside your walls, for more XP and better loots.
