How to get Ayato in Genshin Impact ?
As a 5 star character, you can only attempt to summon Kamisato Ayato in Genshin Impact when he is featured in a Character Event Wish.
Ayato's character event wish banner
You have a small chance to unlock Ayato in the 2.6 update of Genshin Impact by making wishes on the "Azure Excursion" Banner from March 30 to April 19, 2022.
Ayato Constellations
Like most 5-star characters, Ayato will be effective even if you don't have any of his constellations. However, if you particularly like the character and want to make him even stronger, we especially recommend :
His C2 "World Source": It allows Ayato to cumulate more "undulating flash" effects with his elemental attack. If he has at least 3 of them, his HP is increased by 50%, which brings him a significant increase in damage;
His C4 "Endless Flow" increases the attack speed of all characters' normal attacks by 15% for 15 seconds after Ayato casts his elemental rampage.
How to play Ayato in Genshin Impact ?
Ayato's gameplay is quite simple, fun and effective. You can even play him as the main DPS.
To do this, start by deploying his elemental rampage. "Kamisato Art : Suiyuu" generates a huge area inflicting Hydro damage for 18 seconds. This takes 20 seconds to recharge, so you can keep it around almost permanently and multiply elemental reactions with your other characters. The talent also boosts the normal attacks of all your team members.
Use this opportunity to activate Ayato's elemental skill: "Kamisato Art : Kyouka". From then on, Ayato enters a state of "Takimeguri Kanka" for 6 seconds. His normal attacks are replaced by extremely fast Hydro attacks.
Simply hold down the normal attack key to cause a chain attack. After hitting an enemy, Ayato gets a "Namisen effect" effect, which can be accumulated up to 4 times. This increases his damage according to his maximum HP. In addition, Ayato deploys a watery illusion which, if not attracting enemies, explodes to inflict Hydro area damage.
When this skill is active, the passive "Kamisato Art : Mine Wo Matoishi Kiyotaki" grants 2 cumulative "Namisen effect" upon activation. And when a watery illusion explodes, you get a "Namisen effect" effect equal to the maximum number of accumulations possible.
You can also use Ayato as a burst DPS. In this case, you will mainly use his elemental rampage. This will allow him to spend less time on the active post, allowing you to take advantage of his "Kamisato Art : Michiyuku Hagetsu" passive. If Ayato is not deployed and has less than 40 elemental energy points, he recovers 2 points every second.
You are advised to mount Ayato's elemental attacks first, you will not use his normal attacks directly.
What is the best equipment for Ayato?
If Ayato's elemental skill benefits from a damage bonus according to its maximum HP, we advise you not to focus solely on this statistic. Increase his damage with hisATK points, damage and critical hits, but also with the effects of his equipment for an optimal build. To this end, we have listed for you the best artifacts and weapons to equip on Ayato.
The best artefacts for Ayato
Ayato uses mostly Hydro skills in Genshin Impact. Thus, the Soul of the Deep artifact set is logically one of the best options. With 2 pieces you will get a 15% Hydro damage bonus and with 4 pieces the damage of normal and charged attacks will be increased by 30% for 15 seconds after casting an elemental skill, which is quite handy for Ayato.
You can also opt for the Echo of an Offering artefact set, which is excellent for Ayato. 2 pieces grant an 18% attack bonus and with 4, when you hit an enemy, normal attacks have a 36% chance of being boosted to 70% of theATK. If the effect has not activated, you then have an additional 20% chance. This effect can be triggered every 0.2 seconds.
The Ayato build around the Gladiator's Curtain set is also effective. With 2 pieces, you increaseATKby 18% and with 4, the damage inflicted by normal attacks is boosted by 35%.
Are you hesitating between these 3 sets? In that case, choose the ones with the best stats. You can also choose 2 Hydro and 2 pieces that increase theATK.
Finally, if you play Ayato as a DPS burst, you can equip him with the Ancient Royal Ritual or Emblem of Broken Destiny sets to boost his elemental rampage damage and energy recharge.
The Primordial Jade Chopper: This is Ayato's best weapon. It will increase his critical rate, his HP and will grant him a bonus ofATKaccording to his max HP;
Futsu's Rippling Moon: Ayato's signature weapon greatly increases the critical rate and damage of normal and elemental attacks;
Mist-slice Reflection: The sword boosts critical damage and elemental damage.
As for 4-star weapons, we recommend :
Lion's Roar: The sword increasesATKand damage to enemies affected by Pyro or Electro. It is a good choice in a team using these elements;
Black Sword: boosts critical rate and damage from normal and charged attacks, while restoring health from CRIT hits;
TheLong Sword of Rochenoire: increases critical damage andATKafter defeating an enemy;
Amenoma's Kageuchi Blade: The sword increasesATKand energy recharge.

Ayato can deploy the Hydro element continuously in Genshin Impact with his elemental attacks. He works very well in teams based on elemental reactions. Versatile, he can play in several teams:
Xiangling / Bennett / Kazuha / Ayato: you will do a lot of Evaporation damage. You can replace Kazuha with Yun Jin to boost Ayato's attacks.
Ayato / Raiden or Beidou / Fischl or Yae Miko / Jean (for heal) or Kazuha (to do more elemental damage): this "team taser" is ideal for permanently electrocuting your enemies;
Ganyu / Ayato / Venti or Kazuha or Sucrose / Diona: you will be able to freeze a maximum of enemies. Ayato will also work very well with Ayaka, his sister.
Yoimiya / Yun Jin / Bennett / Ayato: Yoimiya's normal attacks will do more damage.
How old is Kamisato Ayako in Genshin Impact ?
Kamisato Ayato is the head of the Kamisato clan and Ayaka's older brother. He was born on March 26 and is said to be between 24 and 26 years old. He manages the Inazuma Cultural Commission.
While he doesn't revolutionize the game, Ayato is still a good addition to Genshin Impact, especially if you have few Hydro characters. He will be able to do a lot of damage in the abyss in many teams. Ayaka's big brother has a simpler gameplay than Tartaglia and is more flexible than the other Hydro characters. With it, you will be able to constantly chain elemental reactions related to the Hydro element with an optimized build thanks to this Ayato guide in Genshin Impact.
