For many players of Genshin ImpactAmber is the weakest character in the RPG. But what about her? ThePyro Archer is the first 4-star heroine you get. She proves to be very useful for exploration, whether it's targeting enemies from a distance or solving puzzles that require the Pyro element. But it doesn't stop there: you can make her your main DPS or a good support. To do this, you'll need to choose a suitable build and increase her skills. We explain all this in our complete guide to Amber in Genshin Impact. Our tips and tricks will tell you which weapons and artefacts to give her.
How to get Amber on Genshin Impact ?
It couldn't be easier to unlock Amber: you get her at the beginning of the game by following the story quest. This character, in addition to having a beautiful chara design, is particularly useful for exploring Mondstadt and its surroundings. She also has a passive that reduces your team's stamina consumption by 20% when you hover.
Climbing Amber's constellations, on the other hand, is more difficult. You can only summon her by attempting the permanent banner or by buying her when she is in the Asteria shop.
Increasing Amber's constellations can greatly improve the character. This is especially the case with her C2 All Set. You can then blow up her faithful companion the Baron Bunny by shooting it. This inflicts 200% more damage to enemies!
What is the best equipment for Amber?
Amber, like all other characters, can be very useful on the battlefield and even in dungeons and abysses, if she is well optimised. Good equipment can easily boost her DPS.
The best artefacts for Amber
Choosing the best artifacts for Amber in Genshin Impact depends mainly on how you want to play her. If you are using her as your main DPS, we recommend the 4-piece Wanderer's Troupe set. It adds 80 points to her elemental mastery and increases the damage she does with her charged attacks by 35%.
If you prefer to play it as a burst support, the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige set is just the thing. It increases the DGT caused by elemental rampages by 20% and the ATK of all characters by 20% for 12 seconds.
You can also attach two pieces from the Crimson Witch of Flames set (which gives a 15% Pyro DGT bonus) and two pieces from the Gladiator's Finale set to increase the attack by 18%.
As far as statistics are concerned, we advise you to favour % Crit or DMG Crit for the crown, PV for the flower,ATK for the feather, ATK% for the hourglass and DMG Pyro% for the cup.
For secondary stats, it will need critical, attack, energy recharge andATK%.
The best weapons for Amber
In order to complete her equipment, you will need to choose a suitable weapon. To play Amber as the main DPS, theAmos' Bow [5★] is the best option. It increases the damage of her normal and charged attacks. If you don't have it, you can make the Prototype Crescent [4★] at the blacksmith's. By hitting the weak points of the enemies, the ATK is increased by 36%. You can also refine it more easily.
For a more support-oriented build, we recommend Skyward HarpWings [5★],The Stringless [4★] or Raven Bow [3★]. These three options amplify the damage dealt.
Amber's Ascension Materials in Genshin Impact
To get Amber to level 90, you will need to collect several resources:
Fragments, pieces and stones of agnidus agate, as well as seeds of fire by beating theflaming tree ;
168 Small Lamp Grass, you can find a number of them in Mondstadt, especially in the Wolves' Territory or in the Whispering Wood.
18 firm arrowheads, 30 sharp arrowheads and 36 weathered arrowheads. These can be obtained from the Hilichurl Shooters.
How to play Amber in Genshin Impact?
Amber has the advantage of being a free character. When you start out, you'll want to keep her on your team for a while, or even longer if you like her gameplay. Amber is an archer, so she attacks mainly from a distance and has few hit points.
To protect her and act as bait, her Exploding Doll elemental skill comes in handy: Baron Bunny provokes the enemy and explodes upon destruction, causing DMG Area Pyro. While her puppet is attracting attention, Amber can target her opponent with her normal attack. If you hit your target's weak points, the damage will be higher. The same applies if the monsters are affected by a Cryo or Electro effect.
Her Fiery Rain elemental rampage generates a rain of flaming arrows. This attack hits several monsters at once.
But to really take advantage of Amber's potential in Genshin Impact, unlocking her second constellation is key. With All Set, you can blast the Baron Bunny to your heart's content and hurt your opponents badly. Her other constellations, especially the 6th, are also interesting.
Which team should Amber play in?
Amber offers fun gameplay for ranged combat fans. Nevertheless, playing Amber well can be demanding. You have to be able to target your enemies quickly with your charged attack while avoiding being hit, as the archer is rather fragile.
To accompany him and optimise his abilities, you can opt for a team that is easy to put together, even at the beginning of the game: Bennett, Sucrose, Chongyun and Amber. Bennett will boost his abilities and allow him to obtain the Pyro elemental resonance, which increases damage by 25%. Sucrose expands the flaming area with the elemental skill Anemo. Finally, by applying a Cryo attack with Chongyun, you will get the Meltdown effect by shooting fire arrows with Amber.
Other Cryo characters such as Ganyu and Rosalia are also compatible with Amber. You can also bet on Diluc and Klee, more powerful Pyro characters, or an Electro hero such as Fischl to generate an overload.
So, it is quite possible to perform with Amber in Genshin Impact with a good build, especially if you have been able to increase her constellations. With our tips and tricks, you can even play her in the spiral depths. We hope that our guide will be useful to you and that it will inspire you to improve your Amber.
