Currently in closed beta, screenshots of Valorant Mobile have been leaked on social networks. The release of the mobile port of Riot Games 's FPS is fast approaching. So what do the images tell us about what to expect from the game's content?
Mobile porting of Valorant is on the way
Valorant is undoubtedly one of the most popular FPS's of recent years. Demanding and competitive gameplay, an ever-expanding roster of characters and the support of a powerful studio with a growing reputation for over 10 years. It is therefore only natural that Valorant mobile is awaited by fans like the messiah.
With the arrival (and success) of Teamfight Tactics and League of Legends: Wild Rift on mobile, Riot Games has decided to adapt its FPS to mobile. As a reminder, the announcement of the game was made official during the celebration of the first anniversary of Valorant on PC last year. Today, the first screenshots of Valorant Mobile have been leaked on social networks.
Screenshots from the Valorant Mobile beta
The images from the closed beta in China were revealed on Twitter. In the first image, the selection screen shows several characters:
Phoenix
Jett
Breach
Reina
Skye
Sova
Killjoy
These seven agents will probably be available at the time of release, but they should be joined by other playable characters.
The second image doesn't give much information. It shows what the game'sloading screen will look like. It's not the most important information, but if you're going to spend time on Valorant Mobile, you might as well get used to it now.
An information-rich HUD
Finally, the third screenshot of Valorant Mobile shows some gameplay. We can see a glimpse of the game's graphics, which seem to be rather faithful to the PC version. But the most important thing on this picture is the indications given by the HUD.
Like many slow FPS, Valorant Mobile allows for different types of movement (normal running, jumping, silent walking or crouching) which are an integral part of the gameplay.
However, this means that the buttons for special skills are shifted to the top right of the screen. In this configuration, it is difficult to play using only two thumbs. Let's hope that it will be possible to customise the location of the buttons like on Wild Rift to optimise the ergonomics.
While waiting for the release of Valorant Mobile, you can still practice on Hyper Front to perfect your aim and skill management.
And if you're more of a FPS fan, you'll find something to suit you in our top 10 best mobile FPSs.
