As the Set 7.5 Worlds approaches, TFT Set 8, named Monsters Attack, is revealed for the first time in a video from the developers. Let's find out what new champions, traits and gameplay changes are in store for the upcoming season of Teamfight Tactics.
Change of context for the TFT set 8, which leaves the Dragonlands for the Monsters Attack, in the city of Spatulopolis. With this change, which will take place in patch 12.23, we will be able to discover new traits. For now, we only know about 7 classes and origins: Star Guardian, Mech, Threat, Anima Squad, Underground, Ox Force and A.D.M.I.N.
As for the champions, the list is longer since we could see 42 champions in the video presentation of the TFT set 8:
Alistar | Annie | Aphelios |
Ashe | Aurelion Sol | Bel'Veth |
Blitzcrank | Camille | Cho'Gath |
Ekko | Ezreal | Fiora |
Jax | Jinx | Kai'Sa |
Kayle | Leblanc | Lulu |
Lux | Miss Fortune | Morgana |
Nasus | Nilah | Rammus |
Rell | Riven | Samira |
Sett | Sona | Soraka |
Sylas | Syndra | Taliyah |
Urgot | Vayne | Vel'Koz |
Vi | Viego | Warwick |
Yasuo | Yuumi | Zac |
Another important point of this TFT set 8 is the conservation of the augments system conservation, introduced in Set 6. The developers have been clear on this subject, augments are now totally part of the functioning of TFT games.
However, each set will benefit from custom optimizations, starting with the heroic augments that will arrive in set 8. These optimizations only affect a particular champion and provide various bonuses.
For example, a heroic augment transforms Alistar's spell, which usually throws enemies into the air, to allow him to inflict area damage and grant him a large amount of HP. His other heroic augment will improve his spell's damage based on his max HP.
That's what we know about TFT set 8 at the moment. However, there is still some time to discover these new features on the live servers, since the TFT set 8 release is scheduled with the patch 12.23 arrival, on December 7, 2022.
Nevertheless, the most impatient can start testing the new mechanics from mid-November on the PBE. Until then, you can always check our TFT tips page to reach the best ranking before the end of set 7.
