What if the studio behind League of Legends took on the HoYoverse behemoth? A recent discovery on X (formerly Twitter) suggests that Riot Games is looking to recruit for a mysterious 'Genshin Impact-like' project. There's no official announcement yet, but here's an update on what's already got the LoL community abuzz.
In a post on X, user @SargeOP_ reports that Riot Shanghai is in the midst of recruiting for "large-scale multiplayer mobile games" in the League of Legends universe.
In fact, if you visit the RIOT recruitment page, you'll find a number of job offers for a 'secret' project. But for the moment, it's all speculation !

Don't forget that job offers from big publishers often lead to prototypes that may never see the light of day. So don't take this information too seriously!
The post on X also mentions that Project T, the supposed MMO-FPS from Riot Games, has been cancelled due to the recent redundancies. But if you want to meet up with the LoL characters on mobile, there's always Wild Rift!
Beyond this rumour of a potential Genshin Impact-like RIOT, rest assured: Valorant Mobile is still being prepared for its global launch. In fact, the game has already been available in China since 19 August 2025! However, there's still no news about the game's global release.

In any case, let's be cautious and not take these leaks as solid information. In the meantime, if you're looking for your next Genshin Impact-like game, we've got a top list of the best mobile gacha for you to check out!
