The Ultra Pokémon GO update with its Ultra Beasts

The 7th generation of Pokémon , which was just released in March, will once again be in the spotlight with the Pokémon GO Ultra update. This new content inspired by the Alola region brings a pinch of the multiverse to Niantic's hit mobile game. Let's find out what's new in this update.

Ultra Recon Squad and Ultra Beast Nihilego in Pokémon GO

The multiverse comes to Pokémon GO with this Ultra update. Once again, the region of Alola is targeted by portals to another world and theUltra Beasts are using them to invade everything. In Pokémon GO, they are invading our real world in augmented reality, like Nihilegoaka UC-01 Parasite.

Revealed in a teaser, Nihilego is a dual Poison and Rock Chimera. But there's no word on whether she'll be captured, or even if the Beast Balls will be present. Don't expect to find a dedicated legendary raid either. Instead, real-world exploration will be altered by portals with a new gameplay mechanic.

In addition to this Ultra Beast Nihilego , Pokémon GO is getting a member ofUltra Recon Squad, if the character's outfit from the back is anything to go by. It could be a new major enemy like Giovanni, Arlo or Sierra with Team Rocket. However, we could also discover a new Skin Ultra Recon Squad or an ally in the search for Ultra Beasts.

Alongside the Pokémon GO Ultra update, the Season of Go will run between June 1 and September 1 throughout the summer. You will also be able to access online events from 4-5 June in addition to the IRL events at Pokémon GO Fest, in Berlin for example.
