On Saturday April 20th 2024, between 2pm and 5pm, you'll have the chance to capture a huge number of Bellsprout on Pokémon GO. Bellsprout is a first-generation Grass/Poison Pokémon that evolves into Weepinbell with 25 Candy Candies, then into Victreebel with 100 more Candy Candies.

This isn't the first time it's been available in Shiny. Experienced Pokémon trainers have already had the opportunity to capture them on a number of occasions, including Pokémon GO Fest 2023 and the Pokémon GO Tour 2021, which focused on the Kanto region.

But newer or more casual players may have missed out on the chance to get a Shiny Bellsprout. Pokemon GO April 2024 Community Day is the perfect opportunity to get a chronological Bellsprout and put things right.

Our tips for optimising your gameplay at the Community Day on April 20th

Now that you know the basics about Community Day, let's take a look at some tips to help you get the most out of your outings.

Make the most of the Community Day bonuses

This time around, Community Day is giving out a number of bonuses for catching new Pokémon. Here are a few tips on how to make the most of your Community Day captures:

Using a Star Piece will give you a x6 Star Dust bonus for 30 minutes. If you have an Origin Forme Dialga with the Roar of Time attack, you can add 6-minute increments to the duration of your Star Piece.
Using a Pinap Berry will give you 4 times as many Candies if the capture is successful.
Mega Evolving one of these Pokémon will give you a Candy and XP bonus: Venusaur, Beedrill, Gengar, Sceptile, Abomasnow, Groudon.

What's more, to catch as many Bellsprouts as possible during Pokemon GO April 2024 Community Day, we advise you to use Incense, especially if you want to get around. If you're stuck near a PokéStop, you could also put a Lure Module on it.

These are two ways of optimising your captures, especially as these items will be active for 3 hours, the entire duration of the community day. But don't forget to activate them until after 2pm, otherwise you won't be able to take advantage of the extra 3 hours.

In larger towns, you'll probably find one organised by a Community Ambassador. If you go to the meeting point and click on the button to take part in the event between 2pm and 5pm, you'll get a free Bellsprout Community Day Ticket , which costs €0.99 in the shop. That's a handy little saving if you're playing on several accounts!

What's more, if you go along to these events, you're likely to find players willing to swap. Remember that Community Days are great opportunities to trade, because you get 2 Special trades instead of just one, and all your trades cost 50% less Stardust.

Every Community Day offers a myriad of activities, and Pokemon GO April 2024 Community Day is no exception. Here are a few other things you can do to make the most of the event:

Take GO Snapshots with your Buddy Pokémon, as a Bellsprout might show up in your first five photos.
Complete Field Research by capturing 3 Bellsprout at a time to earn berries, balls or an encounter with a Bellsprout.
Take part in PokéStop Showcases by entering your biggest Bellsprout. If you've got XXL Bellsprouts, now's the time to make them shine!

Missed the Pokemon GO April 2024 Community Day by a few hours?

Couldn't make it between 2pm and 5pm, but are available between 5pm and 10pm? Find a Weepinbell raid (a 4-star raid that can be completed by 1-3 people) and win it. If you win, Bellsprout spawns will appear for 30 minutes around the Gym where you carried out your raid. On the plus side, the spawns are just as dense as during the Community Day, and the Shiny rate is always boosted!
