It's news we weren't expecting: Blizzard has just announced Overwatch Rush! But be warned: this is not a port, but a standalone inspired by the iconic PC hero shooter. According to the publisher, tests will take place shortly in certain regions.
As I said, Overwatch Rush isn't just a copy of the PC game for mobile. The game will share the same universe as its big brother, but it's a mobile-optimised title with exclusive content that Blizzard has in store for us.
The first big change is that Overwatch Rush will be a top-down TPS shooter, unlike the FPS PC version. Second big change: the game's development has not been entrusted to Team 4, the team dedicated exclusively to Overwatch. Instead, another Blizzard team is managing the development of Overwatch Rush.

Finally, as the game has been optimised for mobile use, the controls have been designed for touch screens, which will certainly ensure that it's easy to get to grips with. So you won't need a controller to play! But if you're looking for one, we've got a list of the best controllers for your phone!
With the game still in development, no global release date has been announced for Overwatch Rush. However, Blizzard's official website has announced that testing will take place shortly in certain regions. Of course, we'll keep you posted here at Mobi.gg.
This rather unexpected announcement comes just a few days after the huge Overwatch update. Proof that Blizzard has set itself the goal of revitalising its licence.
