The new Airship map on Among Us, released end of March!

The Airship Among Us map has taken its time to emerge. Teased, leaked, and then revealed to the general public, many players already know every inch of it even though it has not yet been officially released. Announced since the end of 2020, it will be available after the March 31st update. On mobile, PC or Switch, little astronauts will have the opportunity to discover a new playground to vary the pleasures.

InnerSloth thanked the community for their patience. As everyone knows, this independent studio has a small number of developers, which slows down the pace of work. In addition, the arrival of the game on Switch, which was not necessarily planned, caused an additional delay in fixing all the bugs and imperfections of the Airship Among Us map. Fortunately, the community has redoubled its imagination to invent alternative modes(proximity chat, hide-and-seek, Cupid, Sheriff...) and keep busy.

What's new for the Airship Among Us map?

The new map will bring many new gameplay features. The map will be huge, with several floors and players will be able to choose different places to appear... So be careful not to isolate yourself when you are a poor little crewmate. To get around quickly, players will be able to use ladders and lifts. This can lead to some crazy chases!

The Airship Among Us map also introduces new missions. This is a welcome addition that will break up the routine, especially at full-crewmate parties. These include polishing a ruby or taking out rubbish.

Huge potential with Mods

The community is rubbing its hands together because with the release of this new Among Us map, fans of alternative game modes will be able to have even more fun! Taking into account the size of the map, the information shared with the CREWLINK proximity chat will be crucial. With the ability to isolate themselves, players will also be able to brainstorm even more with the role of the Sheriff. Lovers of Cupid mode will also have to choose their spawn location carefully... Just so they don't get separated from the start. Airship promises a wealth of new possibilities.

This new playground could even inspire new mods. The community is not lacking in imagination and could well create new variants to play around the two floors or differentiated spawn locations.
