In this week's recap #179, we take a look at the week's must-have mobile games releases, mobile news and pre-registrations/test phases not to be missed.
Sit back and relax as we round up all the week's mobile games news! On the agenda: the release of Grimguard Tactics, the closed beta of Girls' Frontline 2 and SEGA suing the developers of Memento Mori.
This week has been full of release announcements, with many games now available on the stores:
We continue with the adaptation of So I'm a Spider So What as a mobile game. The game lets you evolve a spider by exploring dungeons. For fans of the genre, check out this adventure on the G123 website. For Halloween, the roguelike Bella Wants Blood offers a bloody and strategic atmosphere on Play Store and App Store.
Rounding off the releases is the strategic combat game Metal Storm Steel Tempest, available in Japan. Control and customise mecha in a sci-fi universe where politics and PvP battles come together.
In addition to the recent releases, we have more test announcements and pre-registrations in stock this week:
Total War Empire, due out on 21 November, takes you back to the military campaigns of the 18th century on Play Store and App Store. Rememento: White Shadow, a Genshin Impact-like JRPG, is due out in early 2025. Meanwhile, MICA Team is launching a worldwide closed beta for Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, which you can access via this form.
Then there's the beta for the RPG Fellow Moon , open in China, where you'll be exploring a futuristic city in the style of Zenless Zone Zero. Shadow of the Depth, developed by Chilly Room, offers a hack'n slash RPG in open beta on Play Store and App Store. Discover explosive combat and a wide variety of builds. And finally, Go Go Muffin, a cosy, social MMORPG, is also in beta.
Finally, Carrion, a pixel-art horror game, is now open for pre-registration on Play Store and App Store, with a release date of 31 October.
There's more from the mobile JV industry this week:
Battle Crush battle royale will close its doors on 29 November due to budget cuts at NCSoft, despite good chara design and fun gameplay. Finally, we have leaks announcing a future cross-platform multiplayer Pokémon game between mobile and Switch. However, this information remains uncertain and nothing has yet been confirmed.
See you next week for a round-up of mobile games news!
