The Chinese version of Arena of Valor, Honor of Kings, replaced its winter tournament with the Honor of Kings Challenger Cup 2021 last December. However, the event is still ongoing as the playoffs are currently taking place and will continue until January 15. In parallel, the famous mobile MOBA decided to integrate a new Credit Score system to anticipate toxic behaviour rather than punishing it afterwards.
For the 2021 Challenger Cup, Honor of Kings, the top 8 teams will compete in playoffs until January 14 to win half a million dollars. The event is taking place right now, offline, in Hangzhou. Initially a single-elimination event, the tournament will continue in a best of seven format.

The final Honor of Kings Challenger Cup 2021 prize won by each team will depend on how many rounds they win. Also, each team will have to fight to lose as few rounds as possible and walk away with a bigger share of the bounty.

Tencent Games is introducing the gaming credit mechanic almost in the sense of social credit. Thus, Honor of Kings has implemented a credit score system in which a minimum of 100 points will be required to be able to use the social functions and other in-game communication systems.

This Honor of Kings Credit Score will be calculated from daily activity, contribution to other players' banners, potential penalties already received and in-game items owned. Announced on Thursday, this score should be as high as possible to show your quality as a player within the active community. The aim of this system is to prevent toxic activity upstream to protect players.
And if you like the Honor of Kings universe, an open world inspired by the licence is currently in preparation.
