Genshin Impact 2.8 update : Summer Fantasia

The end of Genshin Impact 2.7 patch is approaching, so MiHoYo took the opportunity to present the new features to come during the livestream of July 2nd. And we can say that the Genshin Impact 2.8 update : Summer Fantasia has some nice surprises in store for us, starting with Kazuha's rerun, the arrival of Heizou, a new Anemo character, as well as Golden Apple Archipelago return that we were able to explore with Klee in version 1.6 of the RPG. This generous content will be available from Wednesday 13 July 2022. But that's not all, as MiHoYo has also presented us with some images of Sumeru. Genshin Impact 2.8 update banners

New version of Genshin Impact means new banners. And as it has been the case for a while, we will be entitled to 3 different event banners in the 2.8 update: Summer Fantasia. This time, there will be no new 5-star characters, only reruns. However, we will be able to unlock a new 4-star hero.

Kazuha Kahedera's banner in Genshin Impact 2.8 update

If there is one character whose return has been long awaited, it is Kazuha Kahedera. The 5 star Anemo hero is simply considered one of the best characters in the game due to his ability to boost his team's elemental attacks and attract enemies. If you don't have him yet or want to upgrade his constellations, you can try to summon him during the first part of the 2.8 version of Genshin Impact, starting on Wednesday, July 13. As a bonus, Kazuha will have her own story quest.

Klee's banner

Klee the 5-star Pyro heroine with a penchant for exploding fish, also returns in the first part of the patch.

Shikanoin Heizou's banner in Genshin Impact 2.8 update

In addition to Kazuha and Klee's reruns, you'll be able to unlock Shikanoin Heizou, a brand new 4-star Anemo character. This one promises to be unique. First of all, he's the first male character to fight with a catalyst, but on top of that, the detective does it in close combat. He too will be available during the first part of the patch.

The second part of the Genshin Impact 2.8 update will allow you to summon Yoimiyaa 5-star Pyro archer.

Return from the Golden Apple Archipelago

With the 1.6 update of Genshin Impact, we were able to explore Golden Apple Archipelago and participate in many summer activities. As we expected, the live game has announced its return for version 2.8. It will feature several events as well as brand new locations. The latter will be linked to specific characters: Mona, Kazuha, Xinyan and Fischl. You will even have the opportunity to get a new outfit for Fischl and a free Fischl. Diluc Fischl will also get a skin, but for a fee. This last one will be the first skin 5 stars of the game, it will have the particularity to bring new visual effects for its attacks.

Summertime Odyssey

Genshin Impact 2.8 update main event will be the Summertime Odyssey, where you can get a lot of Primogems and other rewards and a free Fischl. The event will offer you activities related to Fischl, Kazuha, Xinyan and Mona.

Reminiscent Regimen

Secondly, Reminiscent Regimen involves you in a cooperative adventure with several game modes. For example, you will have to protect a boat until it reaches its destination or navigate a barge and defeat enemies.

Resonating Visions

Resonating Visions event will have you exploring the tropical islands, which have changed a lot since version 1.6, and looking for conches. These will allow you to discover new stories. Once you have completed the event, you will get Fischl's new outfit.

Hidden Strife

Hidden Strife event will feature Diluc and his new outfit. You will be able to try it on and fight many enemies. You will have several objectives to achieve.

Evermotion Mechanical Painting

This time there is no combat, as Evermotion Mechanical Painting focuses on puzzles. These are gear-based puzzles.

Sumeru's overview

But the livestream for Genshin Impact 2.8 update goes one step further by revealing several images of Sumeru. The preview begins with a mysterious voice speaking to us, presumably the Archon Dendro. This is followed by a series of images of lush tropical vegetation.

It has been confirmed that Sumeru will be available after patch 2.8. Version 3.0 of Genshin Impact should arrive at the end of August.
