This is the story of life for many mobile games at the moment. After Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, the Disney Mirrorverse shutdown for December has just been announced by its publisher. Say goodbye to Elsa, Snow White and Wall-e, as the heroes of Disney and Pixar have already left the App Store and Play Store.
Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo: in the space of a day, the forthcoming Disney Mirrorverse shutdown has meant the game's removal from the Play Store and App Store with the wave of a magic wand. At the same time, Kabam Pinwheel, the community manager for Kabam, the publisher of Disney's gacha, made the announcement on the official website.
Released globally on 23 June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse was a popular game that had built up a strong community over the years. What's more, if we forget its economic model, which wasn't always in favour of free-to-play players, this action-RPG offered plenty to keep players on their toes, notably with a cool combat system and interesting missions.

If you had invested in Guardians (the name of the Disney and Pixar characters in the game), you'll still be able to enjoy them until 16 December. However, it is no longer possible to carry out microtransactions in the game, but the planned content will be added as the days go by. The Disney Mirrorverse shutdown will occur on 16 December, at the same time as the completion of the current storyline.
When Kabam officially announced the closure of his game, he didn't bother to explain. While Square Enix made it clear that the closure of FF Brave Exvius was due to financial reasons, we don't know why Disney Mirrorverse is about to close its doors (even if we imagine that money is behind the decision).

You still have a few weeks to play before the Disney Mirrorverse shutdown on 16 December 2024, but if you're looking for other games featuring your favourite cartoon characters, you can always fall back on the Disney Speedstorm racing game or Disney Heroes: Battle Mode to fill the gap!
