Playdigious announces Children of Morta pre-registration on mobile!

Following on from Loop Hero, Skull: The Hero Slayer, Potion Permit and Little Nightmare, indie mobile games publisher Playdigious has announced the arrival of another PC hit on Android and iOS, Children of Morta. The least we can say is that Playdigious know how to choose the titles in their mobile catalogue! Children of Morta pre-registration is now open, and we already know its release date, scheduled for 7 October.

Children of Morta pre-registration: meet the Bergsons in this roguelite action RPG

Children of Morta (out in 2019 on PC) is a bit like Hades meets The Binding of Isaac meets Rogue Legacy. As well as being a roguelite, the pixel-art game developed by Dead Mage is an action RPG with elements of hack'n slash and dungeon crawler, where you play as the various members of the Bergsons family.

The Bergsons have watched over Morta for generations. Their mission is to protect their territory from the corruption and monsters that threaten it. In Children of Morta, you take on the role of one of the 7 members of the Bergsons family on each run, advancing them as you progress through the levels.

Children of Morta on mobile will include all the features of the PC version

In your battle against corruption, you'll discover the skills of the 7 playable characters: spells, ranged attacks, heals, dodges and more. Each member of the Bergsons has unique skills that you can improve as you gain experience.

As well as the familiar RPG and roguelite mechanics (exploration of procedurally-generated dungeons, combat against a single final boss or side quests), the narrative aspect of the game plays a very important role. In this family story, you'll be exploring themes such as hope, mourning and sacrifice.

Playdigious confirmed during the pre-registration announcement for Children of Mora that you will be able to enjoy all the game's content, including the base game and the two DLCs, as soon as it is released, although you will have to wait for a post-release update to take advantage of online co-op. In Children of Morta, you can play with a friend in story mode, or in Family Trials mode .

The game is scheduled for release on Android and iOS on 7 October 2024. Children of Morta pre-registration is already available, so make the most of it!
