Created at the end of the 1980s, Warhammer is a well-known licence for gamers. Numerous derivative products (board games, video games, etc.) were quickly created. The Warhammer licence, originally a miniature game, is now present on many cultural levels. On September 3rd, a Warhammertactical-RPG developed by the British company Perchang was released on the stores, and today we give you our opinion on it: Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower.
In Warhammer Quest: Silver Towerthe objective is very simple. You are the leader of an army of fighters whose goal is to get out of the Silver Tower by climbing its floors. To create your army, you have the choice of 10 different champions from the most famous of the Warhammer universe. Set in the Age of Sigmar, the story remains very classic but perfectly adapted to the universe.
If you start the game with just one champion, you can quickly unlock more fighters with hard-earned crystals from battle. In this way, you quickly create an army of champions whose skills you can customise.
Each of the heroes you have in your team can gain power as they fight. In addition, you can arm your champions to give them new skills or improve their stats.
The customisation of your champions doesn't stop there, you can give each of them an outfit or a boon (special feature) that grants further stat bonuses. Once you've prepared your champions, you can head into the tower floors.
A classic and effective tactical RPG
Each floor of the tower consists of several levels. You must win each level in tactical battles at turn-based. In a very classic way for a game of this genre, each of your characters has two actions per turn to accomplish the objectives of each level.
Knights, archers, all the classic Warhammer classes are represented in Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower. Afterwards, you will have to make good use of the characteristics of each champion. This will make it easier for you to achieve the announced objectives. Indeed, the battles quickly become very tactical. Moreover, the isometric 3D graphics are very pleasant.
When you have completed the tasks required in each mission, you are rewarded accordingly. Fragments to upgrade your heroes, crystals to summon new ones, the rewards are motivating!
In addition to the main quest which requires you to climb the Silver Tower, Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower also offers side quests. These areregularly renewed and offer some very interesting rewards extending the life of the game.
Like many mobile games, Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower also offers a shop where you can exchange coins for different resources. It also offers the possibility of using real money, but the whole thing remains discreet with no unwanted pop-ups and above all does not prevent normal progress in the game, no pay-to-win here !
Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower - Negative points
After reading all these positive points, you may well ask yourself whether Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower is a flawless game. You can imagine that it's not 😉
First of all, the game is very classic. If your champions quickly unlock special abilities making the fights more tactical, they remain very classic (whether in the arenas, the objectives or the enemies encountered). Everything is very faithful to the Warhammer universe, but remains relatively classic in the world of tactical-RPG.
Some of the free-to-play aspects of the game can also be frustrating. Upgrading your champions is slow (although this is the main objective) via the game's normal rewards . This pushes the less patient players towards the shop. A questionable strategy, but well known in mobile games.
General opinion Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower
Available for free on Android and iOS, we are dealing with a very effectivegame for fans of strategy games and/or the Warhammer universe. Our test of Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower has resulted in a very faithful game with a depth that allows the most patient to create a very powerful and customizable army.
Positive points
Artistic direction (excellent graphics and music).

Coming from a time when mobile gaming was only possible in the form of Game&Watch (or Tetris for the wealthy), I now have several decades as a gamer to put into practice in my tests and guides! :)
