Whether you’re diving into PvP or PvE, your Heroes are the key to your city’s survival and progress. Whiteout Survival Hero Gear is your ultimate tool to strengthen them for the battles ahead. Whiteout Survival hero gear mechanics

Your Whiteout Survival heroes play a key role in both Exploration and Expedition battles, giving you an edge that survivors and troops can’t. To make them even stronger, you can equip them with hero gear that boosts their attack and defense.

Hero gear in Whiteout Survival is troop-based, meaning each hero belongs to Infantry, Lancer, or Marksman troops. Their gear is exclusive to their type, so you can’t swap it between different troop categories.

The best part? Whiteout Survival hero gear is upgradable. You can enhance it using extra or unused gear, making your heroes even stronger on the battlefield. Better gear means better performance, so focus on upgrading strategically to dominate your battles.

How to obtain Whiteout Survival hero gear?

Hero Gear is a game-changer when it comes to boosting your ranking and making your heroes stronger with better buffs. But here’s the catch: you can’t unlock hero gear until your Furnace hits level 15. Once you get there, you will find various ways to obtain and use hero gear.

Clear Exploration Stages

As you progress through Exploration Stages, you’ll earn rewards like hero XP and hero gear. The higher the stage, the better the rewards—plus, your idle income increases too! Even when you’re offline, the game keeps claiming items for you. When you log back in, you can claim your exploration rewards, including valuable hero gear, to power up your heroes even more.

Whiteout Survival hero gear : Partake in Arena Battles 

Every day, you can partake in up to five Arena battles. Winning each battle gives you a handful of supplies, which includes Whiteout Survival hero gear. 

Purchase gear from shops like Arena

Players receive 300 Arena Tokens at the end of each day for taking part in all five Arena battles daily. In Arena Shop, there are Hero Gear Chests. Try to save up Arena Tokens and only buy gear from them. 

Type of Whiteout Survival hero gear

In Whiteout Survival, hero gear is four different types. Each piece provides unique buffs to your hero’s stats, such as attack, defense, or health.

• Goggles: Goggles are hero gear that focuses on providing hero attack, hero health, escort attack, escort health, and Infantry/Lancer/Marksman lethality.
• Gaunlets: Gaunlets are gloves that focus on providing hero defense, hero health, escort defense, escort health, and Infantry/Lancer/Marksman health. 
• Belt: Belt is a hero gear that focuses on providing hero defense, hero health, escort defense, escort health, Infantry/Lancer/Marksman health.
• Boots: Boots are hero gear that focuses on providing hero attack, hero health, escort attack, escort health, and Infantry/Lancer/Marksman lethality.

Whiteout Survival hero gear upgrade & enhancement

Upgrading your gear is key to making your heroes stronger and more effective in battles. To do this, you’ll need extra hero gear or specific materials to use for enhancement. It’s a simple process, but it can make a big difference in your heroes’ performance.

Gear Enhancement

To upgrade your Whiteout Survival hero gear, you’ll require additional unused gear and Enhancement XP Components to serve as enhancement material. The stat boosts your gear receives are directly tied to unused gear's tier. Higher-tier gear provides significantly better upgrades. Below is a detailed breakdown of the enhancement points you gain from each type of gear used.

So, if you use low-quality gear (Common), your equipped gear will receive only 10 points, but if you sacrifice your high-quality gears (Rare or Epic), your equipped gear will receive more points.

Legendary hero gear cannot be used for enhancements of other gear. However, you can upgrade legendary gear with Mithril—a rare gem used for upgrades.

Mastery Forging

The Mastery Forging feature is an advanced level of enhancement only for the Legendary hero gear. Each Mastery Forging upgrade boosts your legendary gear stats with additional percentage-based buffs, making your heroes even more powerful in battles.

However, there are a few requirements before you can perform Mastery Forging on your Legendary gear:

• Furnace must be level 20.
• Legendary gear must have Enhancement Level 20.

Gear Reforge

Gear Reforge is essentially the opposite of Forging. With this feature, players can dismantle all the resources invested in upgrading a specific gear, resetting it back to level 0. It’s particularly useful if you’ve upgraded the wrong type of gear and want to reclaim your materials.

There are two types of Gear Reforge:

• Enhancement Reforge
• Mastery Reforge

Enhancement Reforge returns 100% of the items and XP you used, bringing the gear’s Enhancement Level back to zero. On the other hand, Mastery Reforge refunds only 50% of the Essence Stones used to upgrade Legendary gear, and the gear is also reset to Enhancement Level 0.

Use Gear Reforge only when you want to recover valuable resources and reallocate them to the right equipment.

Whiteout Survival Hero Gear : Exclusive Gear

Each SSR-tier hero has one additional gear slot, making a total of five gear slots instead of the usual four. This fifth slot is reserved for exclusive gear, unique to each SSR hero. To unlock this exclusive gear, you'll need to collect specific Widgets.

You can obtain these Widgets by participating in events like Frosty Fortune or by acquiring them from the Hall of Heroes and event shops. This special gear can significantly enhance your SSR heroes' abilities with exclusive set of skills.

Once you’ve gathered enough Widgets, head to the hero’s gear section and select the Exclusive Skill option. From there, you’ll see the option to unlock the skill by spending the Widgets, giving your SSR hero a significant edge in battles.
