With so many events happening in Whiteout Survival, one stands out as a refreshing change of pace, the Fishing Tournament. This event lets you cast your line, catch fish, and reel in valuable rewards. It’s a highly rewarding event, with plenty of opportunities. It even allows you to build a unique collection and gain rewards in return. In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the Whiteout Survival Fishing Tournament.
The Whiteout Survival Fishing Tournament is a monthly event where players can catch fish (and rewards) in a fun mini-game. Unlike other events, there are no level requirements (like furnace level), so anyone can join in.
To fish, place your finger on the screen toguide your hook as it descends into the water. Avoid obstacles along the way, and once the hook reaches its limit, it will start pulling back up, allowing you to catch fish and earn rewards. You can start fishing by heading to the Fishing Hut in your city.
From here, you can choose between two fishing modes:
1. Ice Fishing (Basic Mode)
Uses bait to fish, with catch and depth limits based on your equipment.
You start with 5 baits, and one bait replenishes every 3 hours (max 10 baits).
Less rare fish and rewards compared to other modes.
2. Frosty Prospector (Advanced Mode)
Requires Treasure Charts instead of bait (1 per attempt).
Treasure Charts can be obtained from the Fishing Pro Set (event purchase) or by joining the Ice Fishing Club that takes place during Whiteout Survival fishing tournament.
Offers rarer fish and better rewards.
Your fishing equipment is automatically set to max level in this mode.
Fishing Tournament : Equipments & Upgrades
There are three main equipments that you get during the event. and all three of these equipments play a huge role in your success in catching fish (and rewards). These equipments are:
Line: Lets your hook go deeper. Upgrade it to reach rare fish and hidden treasures. Max level depth: 550m.
Hook: Decides how many fish you can catch at once. The better the hook, the bigger your haul. Max level capacity: 20 fish.
Sinker: Affects where you start fishing. Higher levels let you skip the shallow spots and dive straight into the good stuff. Max level depth: 165m.
To upgrade your fishing equipment in the Whiteout Survival Fishing Tournament, you’ll need Fishing Tokens, which you earn by catching fish. Once you collect enough tokens, you can upgrade your Line, Hook, and Sinker (max level: 10) to improve your fishing efficiency and unlock better rewards.
Note: In Frosty Prospector, your equipment is automatically set to level 10. However, in Ice Fishing, you’ll need to upgrade it yourself to maximize your catches.
