Are you unable to complete the quest Chi's Secret in Genshin Impact? This quest has several obstacles and is one of the most difficult quests in the game. In order to make it easier for you, we've provided a step-by-step guide to the solution. You'll learn where to find the fragments and how to activate the mechanisms, along with tips on how to get through the game quickly without missing any rewards.
Find the fragments to solve The Chi of Yore in Genshin Impact
To begin the quest The Chi of Yore in Genshin Impact, you must speak with the NPC Yan'er. She is inside the ruins south of the Wuwang Hill in the Liyue area. She asks you to flush out 3 fragments. This is the first step of the quest.
Location of the first fragment
To reach the first puzzle, head west. You will see a stele and a guard. After defeating him, interact with the stele.
To get the first fragment, you will have to activate three statues. You can't miss them: large orange stones surround them. Once the statues are activated, return to the starting stele to unlock a chest.
Location of the second fragment
Once you have the first fragment of The Chi of Yore in your pocket at Genshin Impact, go to Qingce village and talk to Master Lu. You must then go and ask Ruoxin about the other two fragments.
Once this is done, climb to the top of the mountain indicated on the map. It is located above the Wuwang Hill.
You are now facing several statues. The inscription on the stele asks you to activate four of them looking in different directions. The order is not important for this puzzle. Interact with the ones circled in red.
Location of the third fragment
The third fragment awaits you to the west of the Qingce village. You can reach it more quickly by gliding directly from your position.
Activate the stele as before. This time you have to interact with the statues in a precise order: the central statue, the one on the top left, the one on the right of the central statue, then the one on the left and finally the last one on the top right. You then get the third fragment.
Location of the secret place in The Chi of Yore in Genshin Impact
Go back to Ruoxin. She asks you to go to a secret place with the clues "must have something to do with water" and "it must also be water blockiing the entrance". It is a cave just to the right of a waterfall, under the trees.
Go to the indicated location and enter the cave. A grid is in the way. Don't worry, just interact with it and insert the 3 fragments. You can then access the large room. A final mechanism awaits you. This time, it's no longer a question of riddles, but of combat to complete The Chi of Yore.
You face 3 waves of enemies. The difficulty is progressive: 1 guard, 3 guards and 1 flying guard. To pass the challenge, you must also protect the central pillar. If it is destroyed, you will have to start again. The battle can be tough, so we advise you to be well prepared.
Remember to boost your characters' attack and defence with food. Opt for elemental reactions to launch more powerful assaults, especially as you can take advantage of the surrounding water to electrocute the colossi. If you can't pass the test, level up your characters and add (if you haven't already done so) a hero who can heal and/or boost your team, such as Bennett or Barbara.
Complete The Chi of Yore in Genshin Impact
Once you have defeated the 5 enemies, you will enter another room. Don't forget to open all the chests, but also to take the Geoculus and to follow the fairy on the spot. All you have to do is validate your quest with Ruoxin to complete The Chi of Yore Quest in Genshin Impact. You will then get your reward as well as some primo gems.
