Who is Skullgirls Beowulf?

Skullgirls Beowulf is a world famous wrestling champion, most notably for defeating the warrior Gigan Grendel. After his acting career flops, he steps back into the ring to relive his past glory in the face of a new threat to the Canopy Kingdom.

Beowulf is a powerful fighter of 2 meters and 267 lbs. He benefits from a hype bar that charges with his holds, which makes his next holds impossible to counter and modifies the characteristics of some of his moves.

The character main abilities

Skullgirls Beowulf's character ability, Hype Mode, gives him a frenzy charge every 30 seconds as well as every time he grabs. When Beowulf has accumulated 3 charges of Hype, he activates Hype Mode for 10 seconds. His grabs are then impossible to counter and some of his attacks are improved.

Title Fight, his marquee ability, gives him a 15% damage boost when his HP is lower than his opponent's. In a second step, Beowulf unlocks the same bonus when his HP is higher than his opponent's.

Finally, Skullgirls Beowulf's prestige ability, Now or Never, charges by 50% each time he enters Hype Mode. After activation, Beowulf deals an additional 5% Hype damage every 20 seconds of combat.

A	Hype Man	Air	Hype Train: During Hype Mode, Beowulf steals 10% of the opponent's Blockbuster gauge with each successful hit. Upon activation of Hype Mode, his teammates gain 50% Blockbuster gauge.
A	Juggernaut	Light	Last Call: Upon activation of Hype Mode, all of Beowulf's debuffs are removed and he gains immunity and large regeneration for 15 seconds. When his HP drops below 50%, he gains Hype and Rush for 10 seconds.

B	Wulfsbane	Dark	Force Choke: Beowulf deals an additional 50% damage against opponents hit by a debuff. His grabs have a 50% chance to inflict disability and heal block for 10 seconds.
B	Dragon Brawler	Fire	Wulf Fang Fist: When activating Hype Mode, Beowulf gains 3 stacks of accuracy and 100% critical damage. After defeating an opponent, his Blockbuster gauge fills by 50%.
C	Beast King	Fire	Corrupted Power: When he lands a single blow, Beowulf inflicts a curse and wither for 10 seconds, as well as 10% of the opponent's maximum health.
C	Freedom fighter	Water	Cap's Lock: When suffering or blocking a blow, Beowulf has a 10% chance to inflict armor breakage and gain auto block for 10 seconds. If he blocks a Blockbuster or special move, the opponent is stunned for 4 seconds and cannot launch a Blockbuster attack for 15 seconds.
C	Number One	Fire	Red Alert: Upon activation of Hype Mode, Beowulf gains Rush for 15 seconds. During this time, he has a 20% chance to gain fury for 10 seconds with each hit.
D	Wrestler X	Light	X Factor: Gives him the regeneration effect for 5 seconds at every 10% HP loss, as well as 15% to inflict a bleed during Hype Mode.
