Just unlocked your first legendary card and don't know how to play it? In this Clash Royale Inferno Dragon guide, we'll share our tips and tricks on how to play this card and which deck to put it in to earn trophies and advance to higher arenas.
Clahs Royale Inferno Dragon card is available from Arena 4: P.E.K.K.A's Playhouse. It is a legendary card that costs 4 Elixir units. Looking like the Baby Dragon with a helmet, this aerial unit works more like the Inferno Tower.
Its attack is single-target (ground or air), but its damage radius increases over time and drops back to its original level when the target is destroyed or when Inferno Dragon is stunned. With the highest attack speed in Clash Royale, Inferno Dragon strikes every 0.4 seconds and gets stronger. This makes him a formidable fighter if not properly defended. Despite its helmet, it is only slightly more resistant than the Baby Dragon. On the other hand, it is slower.
During your attack phases in Clash Royale, Inferno Dragon supports a tank. However, it will be less impactful than its counterpart, the Baby Dragon, since it does not have area damage.
Inferno Dragon is much more useful in defense. It is able to melt away most tanks' hit points very quickly if the enemy does not have the weapons to counter the air units. Contrary to what one might think, Inferno Dragon and Baby Dragon combine very well. One does a lot of monocible damage, while the other deals with small units.
To counter an Inferno Dragon played by your opponent, opt for Minions or Spear Goblins. Skeletons or Goblins, while not targeting air units, will buy you time while your turn shoots arrows at the Inferno Dragon. Finally, Electro Wizard will win the 1-on-1 duel since its attacks reset the damage of the beam.
To start the composition of the best Clash Royale Inferno Dragon deck, we find 3 cards used a lot by pro players for their combo.
At the opening of the game, send the Bowler to the back of the field, then the Baby Dragon as it approaches the deck. Once your opponent launches his defense, use the Tornado to gather enemy units and maximize the area damage of the previous two cards.
In addition to this devastating combo, you have the Inferno Dragon and the Balloon to fight from the air, as well as the Lumberjack to attack from the ground. Finally, two spells are available to you for both attack and defense: The Barbarian Barrel against large units, and Freeze which can allow your Balloon or Inferno Dragon to inflict damage on the opposing tower.
