The strengths and weaknesses of the Goblin Barrel

Clash Royale Goblin Barrel card is unlockable fromArena 3: Barbarian Arena. It costs 3 units of Elixir and deploys 3 goblins equipped with swords.

The 3 goblins deal low damage every 1.1 seconds at a melee range of 0.8 squares. Their movement is very fast, but if you place them correctly, they don't need to move as we'll see later.

The main advantage of Goblin Barrel is its ability to be sent anywhere on the field and thus to surprise the opponent. However, goblins have few hit points and can be easily countered by a spell.

How to play Clash Royale with the Goblin Barrel?

In Clash Royale, Goblin Barrel is an offensive card. Before using it, wait for your tank to be targeted by the opponent's tower. You can then send it directly to the tower so that the 3 goblins surround it and inflict damage. Be careful though, because your opponent will surely have something to defend himself with.

To counter this, you have two options. First, you can place other units, such as the Skeleton Army or Gargoyles to force your opponent to use their spells. This is called Log Bait. In the same vein, you can place your Goblin Barrel on the ends of the field to avoid a spell placed in advance.

This card should only be used in defense in an emergency, as you lose all its usefulness. Other options in your deck are probably better suited to the situation. As we saw earlier, Goblin Barrel can be easily countered by spells such as Log, Barbarian Barrel, Arrows or Zap.

The best Clash Royale Goblin Barrel deck

To build the best Clash Royale Goblin Barrel deck, you need a card that will drive your opponents crazy: Mirror. This spell replicates the last card played for an extra unit of Elixir.

This may seem anecdotal, but it is important to understand that as you move up in the arena, the decks used by players are strategically composed to respond to all attacks. By doubling up on the same card, your opponent will be left defenseless since he will have already used his deck's intended response.

Depending on the situation, the cards to use with the Mirror are mainly Goblin Barrel and Minion Horde in attack, and the Log and the Furnace in defense.

To initiate your attack phases, the Lumberjack acts as a tank. Accompany him with a Minion Horde or directly with the Goblin Barrel to trigger an enemy reaction. Once your opponent has no more spells in hand, send your second Goblin Barrel with the Mirror. If the opponent attacks your Lumberjack with skeletons or goblins, use your Log to protect him.

In defense, the Furnace and the Skeleton Army allow you to stall and eliminate quickly the opponent's tanks. Finally, the Fireball can be used in defense or in attack to destroy a tower with few life points.
