Top mobile games for October 2025

Don't know what to try out on your phone - on the move, at home or even in the toilet? Every second of gaming must be worthwhile, so the Mobi.gg editorial team has put together a selection of the best mobile games for October 2025. These high-quality free and premium titles were released in September, but they're sure to complete your collection and are available now on Android or iOS.

Our favourite mobile games of the month

This month we've fallen for two great new releases. Make some room on your storage space, because these mobile games are going to be hard to resist.

DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA

Remember Dragon Ball Project Multi? Buried for a while, the MOBA came back under the name Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra with a closed beta. But Bandai Namco and Ganbarion had not said their last word, as they released the game on the stores for free. If you're familiar with MOBAs, you won't be confused.

In teams of 4 players, divide up the roles to take control of the map and the objectives, while using your skills to eliminate your opponents. In hard-fought 4v4 PvP matches, you can combine your strengths and skills as iconic fighters from Toriyama's licence. Each character evolves over the course of the game, and you'll need to find the right synergies to collect the Dragon Balls and secure the objectives.

Preserve

If you're familiar with games like Terra Nil , which invite you to restore nature to its former glory, you won't be lost in this new release. Preserve, published by Plug-in-Digital and available free on stores, invites you to restore nature tile by tile in colourful environments.

Compose your mosaic of biomes in puzzle, classic or creative mode, and work to restore the balance of the food chains by placing your tiles wisely. Under your fingers, the world becomes lush, in forests and wetlands. Preserve is available for free on Android and iOS, with a complete pack of Savannah, Jurassic and Marine biomes available for $7.

Before I tell you about the other games of the month, I wanted to remind you that we've got a page bringing together the very latest mobile games for those who like to be ahead of the trends.

September's must-try mobile games

With dozens of releases a day on the various game shops, it's hard to keep track. So we've gone through it all for you, and here are the best releases of the past month to try out over the next 30 days:

  • Brick Breaker RPG, on Play Store and App Store, obviously mixes brick-breaking and combat. Blow up entire levels with your marble, fight unique bosses and loot different grades of equipment to progress.
  • Goddess Order is an action-RPG with a retro pixel art style that is gradually being revealed in images and features engaging characters as well as tactical combat where you can even defend yourself by blocking or dodging your opponent's blows, on Play Store and App Store.
  • MicroMacro Downtown Detective on Play Store and App Store is the perfect hybrid between the giant map investigation game and Where's Charlie. You won't be able to stop racking your brains to find all the little investigative elements in this big city teeming with details.
  • Seven Knights Re:BIRTH, the return of the original game, with a redesigned turn-based combat system and visuals that are still top-notch, both for the characters and for the cinematics between action phases. Put your team together and go into battle in a host of epic locations, on Play Store and App Store.
  • Mafia Mobile, the real-time underworld simulator. In-game, you play a former gang leader betrayed by his team and who returns to reclaim his territory, recruit guys, create pacts and dominate the megalopolis, on Play Store.
  • Torerowa, a game by Asobimo, has been released on Play Store and App Store. This roguelike role-playing game invites you to form teams of three to explore dungeons called "Restos". Up to five teams, or 15 players, can battle it out for treasures in ever-smaller game zones.
  • Dunkadillo, inspired by a certain blue hedgehog. Combine double jumps and dashes across 50 levels packed with obstacles, enemies and cool frogs, on Play Store and App Store.
  • Set a Watch: Digital Edition, on Play Store and App Store, is all about guard towers. In this board game, you play as a team of adventurers to defend the kingdom against waves of monsters, using dice to attack, heal and plan strategies.
  • Pine Hearts is a chilled, storytelling adventure game, akin to a life simulation, and this popular title is now available in a phone version via a port to Play Store and App Store. In the game, you play Tyke as he sets out to conquer a mountain he had hoped to climb with his recently deceased father.
  • Katana Dragon comes to Play Store in pastel colours and cute environments. Explore mines, meadows and boss rooms, use your skills and kite enemies to defeat them.
  • The Kingdom: Medieval Tales lets you build a living medieval city where each inhabitant has their own history, ambitions and relationships. Guide your settlers through love, work and daily challenges as they develop farms, workshops and defences against outside dangers, on Play Store and App Store.
  • Block Fortress 2 is like Minecraft meets Helldivers 2, on Play Store and App Store. The RPG atmosphere is still quite present: you have to complete quests, but you are first and foremost a builder and a soldier. Build up your defences with a base over-armed with turrets and traps of all kinds.

Thank you for reading this far. I hope you enjoy your gaming sessions this month.
