These free and premium quality titles were released in June, but are sure to complete your collection and are available now on Android or iOS.

Mobile games to try out in July

With dozens of releases a day on the various games shops, it's hard to keep track. So we've gone through it all for you, and here are the best releases of the past month to try out over the next 30 days:

  • Luna and the Shadowdust, a puzzle game where you have to shed light on a world of darkness;
  • Tarisland, the free-to-play MMORPG from Tencent that many of you have been waiting for;
  • Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a Crunchyroll subscription re-release of this RPG, with dungeon exploration galore. Based on the comic book of the same name from the 90s ;
  • Battle Crush, a battle royale inspired by titles such as Smash Bros and Battlerite, in which you play as Calixers trying to clear their opponents from the map;
  • Cookie Run: Tower of Adventures, the first 3D game of the famous cookies with a story to share in multiplayer;
  • The Case of the Golden Idol, a narrative puzzle game in which you link more than a dozen murders to a mysterious golden statuette directly from your Netflix subscription;
  • Beyond the Room, the 8th instalment in the Dark Dome series of games, which still manages its point-and-click investigations just as well as ever;
  • Skul: The Hero Slayer, a roguelite platformer in which you change your skull to absorb increasingly devastating powers;
  • Hyper Light Drifter (App Store re-release), a solid, dynamic RPG full of combat and forgotten technologies;
  • And Cozy Grove Camp Spirit, the camp and life simulation of the month in your Netflix subscription.

And before I tell you about our favourites of the month, I'd like to remind you that we have a page featuring the very latest mobile games for those who like to be ahead of the trends.

Mobi.gg editor's favourites

This month we've fallen for two great new products. Make some room on your storage space, because these mobile games are going to be hard to resist.

Honor of Kings ⚔️

Tencent's MOBA from China is finally being released worldwide. The game takes the classic MOBA approach, with 1v1, 2v2 and 5v5, a map with different front lines and secondary objectives that will take you to victory by destroying the opposing base for good.

If you like games like Wild Rift, you're in for a treat. And even if Wild Rift is excellent on mobile, the game's esport has been abandoned in the West, while Tencent is investing in the new Honor of Kings esport scene, and you could earn yourself a place there by climbing the ladder. Choose your hero and we'll see you in-game for some unexpected builds in this free-to-play MOBA, available now.

Ash of God's Redemption

Are you the type of gamer who wants to make a splash? Then Ash of God's Redemption is for you, if you've got £10 to spend on your gaming budget. It's a port of the original game in its entirety: from the expanded storyline to the tactical combat and roguelite and RPG elements. Dive without looking back into the medieval fantasy world of Terminus, which... may be on its last stop. OK, I'm out.

Like an old-fashioned CRPG, you take control of one group of characters at a time and the fate of humanity and everything else rests on your shoulders. Your decisions profoundly affect the story. And if one of your heroes dies, he or she will remain in the grave. It's unforgiving. Explore a world of comic-book graphics, engaging characters, collectible battle cards and unexpected narrative depth.

And to take things even further, you can go PvP. Test your strategies against increasingly tough opponents and unlock extra content as you win.
