The Witcher franchise is coming soon with the mobile game The Witcher: Monster Slayer! This geolocation-based augmented reality game has opened its early access pre-registration on Android. Here is the latest information on the release of The Witcher: Monster Slayer!

CD Projekt Red is trying out augmented reality with its new game The Witcher: Monster Slayer on mobile. The studio has trusted the publisher Spokko for this brand new opus, and this, on several essential points! Firstly, the game takes a bit of an idea from Pokémon GO or Harry Potter Wizard Unite and offers a world in augmented reality. Secondly, this mobile game works with geolocation. Your goal will be to find the monsters around you and hunt them down!
In this new title, you will have access to a system of quests and objectives to be achieved daily. The aim of the game is to track down monsters and train yourself to defeat them. You will be able to prepare bombs, traps or potions to protect yourself. In addition, your character's equipment can be upgraded.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer is available for pre-registration for its early access on Android. However, no official release date has been revealed. However, we do know a bit more about the release period. In this tweet, we learn that the worldwide release is scheduled for this summer according to Spokko and CD Projekt Red :

After the release of the very famous The Witcher III and Cyberpunk 2077, the studio CD Projekt Red is back with its new baby, the mobile game of The Witcher. Many of CD Projekt Red's The Witcher regulars are a little disappointed with the lack of polish in Cyberpunk 2077. However, it is far from being a bad game. If a large number of Internet users expect a failed release for The Witcher: Monster Slayer, CD Projekt Red was keen to reassure the public and present this mobile version with Spokko, publisher and mobile developer. This is a way of demonstrating the studio's professionalism by entrusting a title in the franchise to another publisher specialising in games for phones.
The Poles of CD Projekt Red and Spokko have published the first gameplay images of the game very quickly. A way to give the colour! A trailer was released several months ago.
Early access to the game is available soon. All players who own an Android device can sign up to get access to The Witcher: Monster Slayer at its release! By the end of the month, players will be selected from the registrants.
And you, will you sign up to play The Witcher: Monster Slayer in early access? In any case, we'll be testing the game for you! We'll be back very soon with all the news about this brand new game on Android and iOS phones 😉
