While the patch 12.16 has just been released on the live servers, the PBE version already allows to discover the new TFT set 7.5 traits and champions. Let's take a look at the changes in this update. On the agenda: a complete overhaul of the Dragon class, as well as the addition and deletion of many champions and traits.
TFT set 7.5 : Dragons redesign
The big news in the TFT set 7.5 is the complete overhaul of the Dragon trait. Until now, it was not possible to accumulate Dragon champions, unless you had one of the two Augments that allowed it. This is now over as Dragon becomes a synergy, which like the Guild champions, offers cumulative bonuses:
1 Dragon: 500 HP
2 Dragons: 20 magic resist and armor
3 Dragons: 10% damage bonus;
4 Dragons: 1 additional place on the field
5 Dragons: 10% attack speed bonus.
In addition, their cost is reduced, as epic dragons cost 7 gold coins instead of 8 and 8 gold coins instead of 10 for legendary dragons. Five new dragons are added to the seven already present, bringing the total to 12. However, these dragons still take up two spots.
TFT set 7.5: new traits
To bring some freshness and novelty, four new features have been added in TFT with the 7.5 set. Let's find out what they are.
Traits
Bearings
Effects
Darkflight
2/4/6/8
Creates a sacrifice square. The champion placed on this square cannot fight, but all Darkflight champions receive a random copy of one of its items, as well as a bonus of 700/900/1200/1800 HP.
Lagoon
3/6/9/12
Lagoon champions gain 20/40/70/200 power and attack speed. The more spells Lagoon units cast, the more item components or gold coins the Sea Stone offers in rewards .
Monolith
3
Nomsy randomly gains a trait between Cannoneer, Mage and Evoker and summons the Trainer of that trait (Tristana, Heimerdinger or Lulu). When Nomsy dies, the Trainer gets a 100% attack speed bonus.
Prodigy
3
Creates 3 squares on the field. Units that start the fight in these squares benefit from a 15% damage reduction.
Set 7 features removed
To compensate for the four new TFT set 7.5 traits, three others have been removed. So we can say goodbye to the Trainer, Legend, and Revel traits and their champions. Let's move on to our next section on champions.
TFT set 7.5: the new champions
As you can imagine, if there are new traits in TFT with the 7.5 set, it also means that new champions are appearing. There are 21 of them and they are accompanied by the redesign of Swain, who becomes a Dragon and doesn't keep any of his three traits from set 7.
