Supercell's Everdale in progressive release

From the bloodthirsty barbarian to the peaceful farmer who works the land with his friends, there seems to be only one step. At least, that's what Supercell has planned for the end of 2021. The Finnish developer has decided to gradually release Everdale, a soothing village building game, in parallel with its development of the titles Clash Quest, Clash Heroes and Clash Mini.

After Clash of Clans or Clash Royale, Supercell turns to a genre closer to Farmville or Hay Day than to clan wars. In Everdale, there is no combat. Instead, a peaceful farm construction and a narrative full of secrets to discover. The goal is to create a thriving community of your villagers while expanding your business (no pun intended). So you can build, improve and decorate your village without any looting or fighting. And don't forget to trade with your friends!

Note that a system for customising your villagers is also available. Teach them new skills and create beautiful outfits for them. It's up to you to create your own little garden of paradise.

But Everdale is not just about creating a village. The world around the village is full of intrigue. It will be up to you and your friends to unravel them. This in turn will allow you to gain reputation and unlock additional rewards .

The Everdale mobile game is currently available in beta on Android and iOS in some parts of the world. It already has its official website which you can visit here. Its progressive launch will allow new countries to access it over the weeks. For now, only players with a VPN pointing to Sweden or living in the following countries or regions can download it for free: Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Canada, Switzerland, Iceland, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.

A hidden exit under a false name of Valleys & Villages

The site Kotaku is the source of this revelation. It would seem that Everdale is not exactly a first time on the Playstore. Osmium Interactive, a completely unknown development studio, has published a game called Valleys & Villages on the mobile stores, which looks suspiciously like Everdale. Except that it was released a year before Supercell's construction game was announced.

However, if we trace Osmium Interactive, we realise that the studio's website only contains this famous game and that the domain has been reserved from the south of Finland, in the Helsinki region where Supercell's HQ is located. The studio itself does not really exist. In the end, it is a cover for the developers to test the market's interest in Everdale without committing their brand image. This way they can collect interesting feedback on the proposed experience before the actual launch. Smart guys.
