We told you back in March, when Supercell announced the closure of Clash Mini : the game was going to come back at some point. Now it's official: the Swedish publisher will be digging Clash Mini out of the Super Graveyard in June 2025, and adding it as a game mode for Clash Royale. But behind this decision lie much bigger plans for Supercell's flagship game.
As you may have guessed, in June 2025, you won't be able to find Clash Mini on the stores, but on Clash Royale, as a game mode.

Aleksandar Markovic, the man in charge of Clash Royale at Supercell, explained the publisher's desire to transform its flagship game into a platform similar to Fortnite or Roblox.
The aim is clear: to boost player engagement and the revenue generated by Clash Royale, which has been in decline since 2022. In June this year, the Goblin's Queen Journey, a new game mode, was added, but without the results expected by Supercell.

We can also mention the card evolution system, a feature that doubled the content offered by Clash Royale.
Also at RovioCon Google 2024, Aleksandar Markovic explained that other projects were planned for the transformation of his strategy game. These include character cards, which can be used in other games on the future platform, and the addition of modes from Supercell's various teams. Moreover, the Swedish publisher has not ruled out the possibility of integrating modes developed by other studios into Clash Royale.

Project R.IS.E (formerly Clash Heroes) isn't the only game to have been unearthed from the Super Graveyard. We can therefore expect further announcements from the publisher about the transformation of Clash Royale into "a hub experience for strategy games".
