In a galaxy not so far away, you'll soon be able to collect Star Wars cards on your mobile. Yes, we've just learned that a Star Wars CCG is in the pipeline. Star Wars fans, I hope this new game lives up to your expectations!
At first glance, these names may not ring a bell. And yet ByteDance is none other than the company behind the creation of TikTok, and owner of the Moonton studio (MLBB). In fact, its subsidiary Zero36 Studio will be in charge of the project. You may also know CCG Lab as the creator of DC Dual Force, the TCG in the Marvel universe that closed in 2024. These two players will be in charge of the development and launch of CCG Star Wars, in close collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.

For the moment, we don't know much more about this project, and it's not the usual CEO bullshit that's going to enlighten us on the subject.
Together with Zero36 Studio and Lucasfilm Games, we’re creating something truly exciting for players and fans alike — an experience that celebrates the joy of play in the galaxy far, far away … Our mission is to craft an experience that captures the thrill, adventure, and heart of Star Wars — a game that feels instantly familiar yet constantly surprising.
CCG Star Wars will feature all the iconic characters from the licence, as you'd expect. But for the moment, no other information has been given, other than that the game will be available on Android, iOS and PC.
If you're a fan of George Lucas's licence, you probably won't have missed the launch of the TCG Star Wars: Unlimited in March 2024.

But the game is already losing momentum, just a year and a half after its release. So it's safe to assume that Star Wars TCG has been designed in part to reignite the hype around SWU, a bit like the Pokémon Company did with Pokémon TCG Pocket. I just hope that fans of the licence find the artworks in the CCG a little more interesting than those on the physical cards...
There's no word yet on a release date. But we'll keep you posted!
