Pokémon GO September Events: the complete calendar

September has arrived and Pokémon GO players should get ready because developers still have a lot of things in the works! Several events are scheduled and will be the opportunity to catch Ditto or other rare Pokémon. The latter is very useful to advance the Mew quest, and it is rumoured that the luckiest players might be able to find a shiny specimen! This shiny shapeshifter has not been available since February 2021. To make sure you don't miss anything, we have put together a calendar of Pokémon GO events for September. The good weather is still with us, so make the most of it and fill up on sunshine and Pokémon for your Pokédex.

Pokémon GO Events: Which rare Pokémon to catch?

While there are nearly 800 Pokémon to catch in Pokémon GO, some are harder to find than others. We're a little tired of running into a Rattata or a Pidgey around every corner, but the Pokémon GO Events for September should allow us to expand our collection without too much effort. In the Search tool, you will have the opportunity to meet Ditto. This copycat Pokémon is rather difficult to find in the wilderness, so being able to search for him directly is a real blessing. The normal wild encounter rate should also be slightly increased, thus it will also be easier to find a shiny Ditto.

In 5-star raids, until mid-September, you can also come across a Lugia with the powerful Aeroblast attack. Then, from the 15th until the beginning of October, you will be able to encounter a Mesprit. In addition to being very rare, these legendary Pokémon prove to be extremely powerful and useful in arena fights. Finally, the Community Day in September will feature Oshawott as its main Pokémon.

For September, please note the dedicated special capture hours in your calendar to get the as many rewards as possible from the Pokémon GO Events of September. These Pokémon are not particularly rare, but the bonuses are always good to take.

• 21 September: Skitty with double candy.
• 28 September: Meowth with double transfer candy.
