After a collaboration with Katy Perry, Louane and a virtual concert by Post Malone, it's Ed Sheeran's turn to make his grand musical entrance into the world of Pokémon Go. The British star, who is in the middle of promoting his new album Equals, will take advantage of the event to offer a unique performance as well as some nice bonuses for players.
Ed Sheeran has admitted that he is a big fan of water-type Pokémon and that his choice of starter was always geared towards them. So Niantic listened to the artist and is giving us an increase in Water-type wild encounters like Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup, Oshawott or Froakie.

Sunglasses Squirtle, that first appeared in July 2018, will also make a comeback. Don't miss its chromatic version!
Several of the artist's greatest hits as well as some tracks exclusive to the Equals album will be played from 22 to 30 November. The launch of the album was eagerly awaited thanks to the success of the song Bad Habits this summer and its 230 million views. On the Pokémon GO side, it is the track Overpass Graffiti which will be played every night in-game.
In addition to the music of Ed Sheeran, there are other surprises for the trainers:
Don't miss Ed Sheeran on 22 November from 8pm on Pokémon GO. The event, exclusive to the artist and Pokémon , will run until 10pm on 30 November. In the meantime, you can pick up the new album here or find out how to beat Giovanni with our special guide.
