Mobile Games News Review | Week of 20 to 26 September 2021

Mobile games news recap September n4

Check out the weekly recap of mobile gaming news on Android and iOS for the week of September 20th to 26th, 2021! We'll let you discover it all. ⬇️

1️⃣ Theesport may have a bright future ahead of it... but more importantly, surprises in store. Last week, we were treated to a Candy Crush tournament with Khloé Kardashian as host. Who knows which game will lend itself to the competitive spirit next time?

2️⃣ In a totally different style, the release of Garena Free Fire MAX this week comes to give the license a second wind. Improved graphics, crossplay and a new map editing mode are all on display. To the delight of players, those who prefer to stay with the original version of the game will still be able to compete against MAX players!

3️⃣ An unexpected and yet quite enjoyable little game, Knights Edge is also released on Android and iOS. If you were looking for a cartoon style game with a gameplay close toArchero, this should interest you. But, as a small original, the title is played in 3v3, so share the roguelike experience with your friends.

4️⃣ On the competition and balancing side, the arrival of the Super Item Enchancers Pokémon Unite revives fair play without solving the pay-to-win concerns at the bottom... Thanks to them, you'll be able to upgrade three items to max level and make the battle more balanced without having to farm as hard. However, you'll still have to row just as hard if you want to upgrade other items. A bit of a band-aid on a wooden leg, but it will make the experience easier for new mobile players.

5️⃣ Since the announcement of the game at the end of August, LOTR Rise to War was released on mobile on September 23. Fans of the Tolkien universe and followers of wargames and other strategy games, this title is for you. It remains to be seen what the game will offer in the long term with its regular server resets, but I'm afraid it will quickly lose steam with its audience despite the obvious fan service.

Be sure to check out the latest mobile game releases to see what's new! See you next week for fresh news on your favourite mobile games. 😃
