Back in September 2022, the announcement of Marvel WOH had the gaming community talking. This week, Marvel and Niantic unveil the release of Marvel World of Heroes in some regions. I present you this mobile game in augmented reality and how to download it now to test it without further delay. So, will the Marvel World of Heroes multiverse be a success like Pokémon GO or a failure like Wizards Unite?
Upon its release, the Android and iOS mobile game Marvel World of Heroes relies on augmented reality to merge the world of superheroes with our own. The title from Niantic and Marvel is only available in New Zealand for this first part of the soft launch, but you can play it from other countries with a VPN.
Your adventure starts with the customization of your avatar. Create your own superhero like a character from The Sims: body size, skin color, hair and even your costume (you only have one at the beginning of the game), everything can change. Of course, "no cape" as Edna Mode would say!
Then, embark on the Marvel WOH adventure in augmented reality after donning your skintight costume. In single-player or multiplayer, your role is to defeat super-villains in the streets of your city alongside virtual law enforcement. Gain power with each victory by upgrading your equipment, skills and special combat effects. Plus, you'll have to team up with some of the best-known superheroes in the MCU. Marvel World of Heroes offers an already extensive roster of superheroes that will multiply the cinematic combos during the battles at turn-based.
To unlock new allies, you will have to meet these other characters during your walks or obtain them through missions. Moreover, these missions will allow you to obtain lootboxes. As you progress in Marvel World of Heroes, the rewards will strengthen your character and your group of 3 active superheroes. This way, you will be able to improve your strategy, change your target during a fight and choose your attack combos to take down entire groups of enemies.
When released on Android and iOS, Marvel World of Heroes alternates between narrative and combat phases. During the narrative phases, you'll be able to choose your character's lines of dialogue, but I doubt it will have an impact on anything. Maybe we'll see a particular success if we always answer in a particular tone? For now I suggest you watch the official trailer of the game below and follow our tutorial to download Marvel WOH easily if you are interested in the game.
The release date for Marvel World of Heroes is April 17 for the start of the soft launch. The first region to access it is New Zealand. For other countries, the release date of the game has not yet been announced by Niantic. Progressive launches can take quite a long time, as is the case with Harry Potter Magic Awakened. So you may have to wait several months before you can access it through your local app store. You can still pre-register on the game's official website while waiting for the full release.
However, if you don't want to wait, feel free to download Marvel World of Heroes on Google Play and Appstore as I explain in this tutorial below. You will certainly have some latency while playing on the other side of the world but you can make your mind up about the game without waiting
As you know, the game has just been launched in New Zealand. For players who live in New Zealand, there is no need to make any effort: you just have to go through the official download page on Google Play and Appstore. On the other hand, if you want to play and download Marvel World of Heroes in beta in all other countries of the world to test it, you will have to follow this simple and efficient method. Here is a quick step by step tutorial to play Marvel WOH on Android and iOS anywhere in the world.
And now you can play Marvel WOH on Android! This method works for all Android games and devices. For those who don't know how to create a Google Play account in another country to access soft launch games in other regions, I'm preparing a full guide on the subject.
It's even easier on Apple phones and tablets!
That's the end of this tutorial, so you can play Marvel World of Heroes in your current country without any problems. However, until the game is released in the rest of the world, you will need to log back into your New Zealand Apple account to update the game from time to time.
Mobi.gg will keep you updated for the full release date of Marvel World of Heroes on Android and iOS in the coming months and stay tuned for any official announcements around the game.
