Here's a piece of news that will delight fans of tabletop RPGs (including some members of the editorial team!): Werewolf: Heart of the Forest, the multi-award-winning game inspired by the tabletop RPG of the same name, is coming to iOS for $9.99. Already released on PC in 2020, Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest, to use its full name, plunges you into a wilderness with a creepy, immersive atmosphere. We highly recommend it to all iPhone owners!
If you're unfamiliar with Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest, here's the lowdown: in this game, you're plunged into a wilderness in the heart of Europe, on the border between Poland and Belarus. Far from being a peaceful land, the places you'll visit on your adventure are full of mystery and the battleground of nature's protectors and modern technology.

In Werewolf: Heart of the Forest, you take on the role of Maia, a young woman in search of her family roots who finds herself embroiled in a rather terrifying conflict.
What's special about Werewolf: Heart of the Forest, developed by Different Tales (on PC and now on iOS), is that it offers an experience very similar to that of a tabletop RPG. Obviously, every choice you make will have an impact on the rest of the story.

The gameplay is based mainly on dialogue and text, but also features a strong RPG aspect: you'll need to manage your various attributes and skills (Rage, for example, or your health) effectively to progress through the game and get out of complex situations.
In addition to its extremely positive ratings on Steam, Werewolf: Heart of the Forest has won a number of awards, including the prize for best digital culture game at Polityka's Passport 2020, and the prize for best game design at Dev.Play 2020.
If you've got an iPhone and missed out on its release, or if you're curious about what a mobile adaptation of a tabletop RPG can offer, there's no reason not to give it a try! However, you'll need to spend $9.99 to download it.

Unfortunately, the developers have not yet said anything about a possible release on Android...
