TheApple Arcade 's catalogue of games continues to grow. This month, we discover a new game inspired by the creations of Studio Ghibli and entitled Baldo: The Guardian Owls as well as one of the pillars of racing games on iOS and Android, Asphalt! Discover Baldo and Asphalt 8 which have just appeared on Apple's gaming service.

You all know (I hope) Studios Ghibli. They have produced cult animated films such as Princess Mononoke and The Voyage of Chihiro. Well, Baldo: The Guardian Owls is inspired by the Japanese studio's signature visuals and offers a Zelda-style action-RPG. The adventure follows the young boy Baldo as he searches for answers around a mysterious prophecy.
Players help the child in his quest and interact with many colourful characters full of secrets. In terms of gameplay, this open world offers TPS combat scenes, puzzles and riddles to solve, but also dungeon exploration like in Zelda. According to the game's creator Fabio Capone, Baldo was not conceived as a fighting game but more as a game of discovery and puzzles. Thank you NAPS.
The developers have finally announced the release date of this game with its Ghibli-esque visuals. Baldo: The Guardian Owls will launch on August 27, 2021 for Apple Arcade subscribers. However, the game will also be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and iOS (so no jealousy).
Among the best mobile car games, we mention all the Asphalt games and especially Asphalt 8: Airborne. In addition to Baldo, this one appeared a few days ago in the "coming soon" section of Apple Arcade. Although it already exists on the PlayStore, this ++ version looks quite different from Gameloft's 2013 version. More graphically fluid. Asphalt puts you behind the wheel of 240 real cars (not at the same time) from well-known luxury brands such as Ferrari, Ducati, Lamborghini, McLaren, Bugatti, Mercedes, Audi, Ford and Chevrolet.

The Apple Arcade costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. Incidentally, it's all happening at the end of August as Asphalt 8: Airborne will also be released on 27 August 2021.
What do you think of the two new titles on the Apple Arcade?
