The Dredge mobile announcement has also revealed its release date, and it's coming soon. Put on your best yellow raincoat and climb aboard your trawler!
Dredge mobile announcement: the game is coming to Android and iOS on 18 December 2024
I don't know about you, but it always makes me happy to know that a good indie game is about to hit the Android and iOS stores. Unsurprisingly, the Dredge mobile announcement made me really happy, and if you haven't tried it out on Steam or Switch yet, you can always wait until 18 December 2024 to get it on your smartphone.
If you've missed out on Dredge, here's the deal: you play as a fisherman aboard his trawler and have to carry out the missions given to you by the inhabitants of different islands. Fish, trade and upgrade your boat to meet new species of fish and more or less strange creatures. But be warned: when night falls, the game suddenly takes a slightly more... horrific turn.
Dredge isn't just a fishing game, it's also a game where you explore a series of small islands that hide many secrets. Unravel past events, but watch out for the fog, which has a few surprises in store (not all of them good). If you're a fan of the Cthulhu mythos, you'll love this game from Black Salt Games.
Dredge on mobile launches in premium version without pre-registration
The Dredge mobile announcement for 18 December 2024 was made by Joel Mason who, in a Tweet, explains the reason why Dredge will not have pre-registrations on Android. It would appear that the Play Store considers that the studio does not own the rights to its game, because of... Sea of Conquest, which features a sequence of gameplay similar to that of Dredge.
So you'll have to wait until the day it's released if you're interested! Dredge on mobile will be a premium game, but we don't yet know how much it will cost. In the meantime, if you're on iOS, you'll soon be able to enjoy a demo!
