The success of a mobile game is usually judged by how long it lasts. But that won't stop the developers of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run from breaking out the champagne to celebrate the successful debut of their foal. With over 20 million downloads (iOS and Android) in just 4 days, the bandicoot is off to a great start. Now, it remains to be seen if it will be able to go the distance while keeping the community on its toes. The community welcomed the announcement of the game with enthusiasm and did not let it down.
The game got off to a much better start than its predecessors Runners. Temple Run, the reference in this field, had to wait almost 160 days to reach the symbolic 20 million mark, according to App Annie mobile market specialists.
Crash Bandicoot: On the Run can count on the popularity of the bandicoot. Indeed, it is one of the great classics of video games and has been on the various platforms since 1996. By combining free-to-play and the accessible runner genre, it reaches a very large audience. The genre is not revolutionary, but it remains very effective in passing the time. Moreover, the game has a real card to play since the offer proposed in the sector is not excessive.
