Unfortunately, the start of 2021 is likely to be at least as disrupted as 2020. However, esportis not stopping and the organisers have made arrangements to continue to provide great gameplay in a competitive environment. TheBrawl Stars Championship 2021 will take place and Supercell has announced its roadmap. Regional Qualifiers, World Finals, Championship Challenges... The programme is rich and promises to be a great one!
The year will be full and the World Finals will not take place until November. For now, Supercell is counting on a physical final where 16 teams from 7 regions will meet to fight for the title... We're keeping our fingers crossed that by then, the global situation will be resolved and we won't have to play the tournament online and without a live audience. In any case, the road to the finals will be long. We give you an update on this long qualification process.
Brawl Stars Championship 2021: the long road to the finals
The Brawl Stars Championship 2021 will therefore be spread over almost the whole year. But before being able to claim the title, it will be necessary to be regular over the whole competitive year. The latter is divided into 8 distinct seasons where players are divided by region. Each season earns valuable championship points which determine, at the end, the representatives of each region. Within a season, several stages follow each other:
Championship Challenge: over two days, players must quickly get 15 wins before losing 3 games. Anyone can participate in this fast-paced qualifying format played in Bo1.
Monthly qualification: players form teams of 3 or 4 to participate in a Swiss system tournament. Each victory earns points and the best players (top 8) will participate in the monthly finals.
Monthly finals: the monthly finals allow you to compete against the best players in your region. Above all, they offer a maximum of championship points!
The World Finals
Once the 8 seasons of the Brawl Stars Championship 2021 have delivered their verdict, it's time to get out the calculators. Regions will have from 1 to 5 representatives and these will be defined by their number of championship points earned during the year. Consistency will be the key!
Europe, Middle East and Africa: 5 representatives
Mainland China: 3 representatives
North America and Latin America North: 2 representatives
Latin America South: 2 representatives
East Asia: 2 representatives
South and South East Asia, New Zealand and Australia: 1 representative
Eastern Europe and Central Asia : 1 representative
For the time being, the World Finals will offer a minimum of $500,000. However, this amount will be increased by the community according to their in-game purchases. Thus, the cash-prize could easily reach the million dollars as it did last year!
