Minis are the core of Warcraft Rumble gameplay. They're what you spend the most of your gold on and make up the bulk of the action during any match. Since they're so important, it's vital to pick the right ones and that's why we've created a Warcraft Rumble Mini tier list, ranking all the Minis in the game to help you pick the best ones for your matches.
With over 55 Minis in the game, there's a ton of choice for what to include in your setup. However, there are only six Mini slots available, so it makes every single pick incredibly important. Between units, spells, and squads, as well as extra archetypes like flying, tank, and special effects, it can be a real headache figuring out what's best.
Then, you also have to consider your choices for both PvE and PvP. Certain units excel in different types of matches, although the difference is generally quite small. Our Warcraft Rumble Mini tier list covers general power level, ranking Minis based on their strength, including stats, bonuses, effects, and unique archetypes.
The tier list is structured in an alphabetical format, ranking Minis from S to A, B, C, and D tier depending on their strength, with S being the best, and D being the worst. We've also incorporated a plus (+) and minus (-) system to the rankings, to further split up Minis in the same tier. To go even more further, you can check out the Warcraft Rumble Leader Tier List.
We start with the best Minis at S tier. This includes S+ for the best of the best, and S for other very powerful Minis. Currently, only four enter our Warcraft Rumble Mini tier list in the S tier, making them very powerful choices for just about any setup. Defias Bandits and Gryphon Rider are the highlights of this tier - both are incredibly powerful, providing a ton of damage for their cost.
Quilboar and S.A.F.E Pilot enter at S tier, very slightly behind the other two Minis. Both are also incredibly powerful, with strong effects, but just lack that extra edge to take them over the top and into S+ tier.
Rank | Mini | Mini Type |
---|---|---|
S+ | Defias Bandits | Squad |
S+ | Gryphon Rider | Unit |
S | Quilboar | Unit |
S | S.A.F.E Pilot | Unit |
Moving onto A tier of the Warcraft Rumble Mini tier list, we have a lot more choice. These are still strong options, but lack the strength of the S tier choices - this is either due to their stats or costs being just a bit worse than the top Minis. With that said, there are a lot of great choices here, including a lot of powerful Spells.
Minis like Huntress and Darkspear Troll are great picks for powerful ranged damage, while Spells like Blizzard and Execute are a good choice for instant impact anywhere on the map.
Rank | Mini | Mini Type |
---|---|---|
A+ | Huntress | Unit |
A+ | Whelp Eggs | Squad |
A+ | Harpies | Squad |
A+ | Darkspear Troll | Unit |
A | Frostwolf Shaman | Unit |
A | Blizzard | Spell |
A | Execute | Spell |
A | Pyromancer | Unit |
A | Stonehoof Tauren | Unit |
A | Drake | Unit |
A | Deep Breath | Spell |
A- | Skeleton Party | Squad |
A- | Abomination | Unit |
Up next is B tier. This is where Minis start showing specific weaknesses, while still being decently powerful overall. For example, the Ghoul just isn't as tough as the Abomination or Quillboar, so you'd be better off using those as frontlines most of the time. However, this tier does have a lot of interesting options, like the Goblin Sapper which specializes at building damage.
You'll also notice that there is only one spell at this tier. Currently spells are in an interesting place, as most simply do damage, they're either great, or not very good. If you want to add spells to your game, we'd recommend sticking with the A tier spells of the Warcraft Rumble Mini tier list.
Rank | Mini | Mini Type |
---|---|---|
B+ | Bat Rider | Unit |
B+ | Necromancer | Unit |
B+ | Ghoul | Unit |
B | Warsong Rider | Unit |
B | Meat Wagon | Unit |
B | Smoke Bomb | Spell |
B | Goblin Sapper | Squad |
B | Firehammer | Unit |
B | Worgen | Unit |
B | Flamewaker | Unit |
B | Chimera | Unit |
B | Banshee | Unit |
B | Fire Elemental | Unit |
B | Gnoll Brute | Unit |
C Tier is where the Minis really start falling off. The Minis here lack power compared to the tiers above and generally don't have strong effects. They can be useful in some cases, although you'll usually find more success with the Minis in higher tiers simply due to better stats like more health, more damage, or just powerful effects.
Some are also just not very useful, for example Polymorph - you could instead use the same amount of gold to eliminate multiple units instead.
Rank | Mini | Mini Type |
---|---|---|
C+ | Murloc Tidehunter | Unit |
C+ | Prowler | Unit |
C | Dark Iron Miner | Unit |
C | Harvest Golem | Unit |
C | Chain Lightning | Spell |
C | Raptors | Squad |
C | Warsong Grunts | Squad |
C | Polymorph | Spell |
C | Skeletons | Squad |
C | Footmen | Unit |
C | Cheat Death | Spell |
C- | Holy Nova | Spell |
C- | Ogre Magi | Unit |
Lastly we arrive at D tier. These Minis are the worst of the bunch and we do not recommend using them. This is due to their stats just being worse compared to other Minis, making them weak in combat while still costing the same amount of gold (or sometimes more!) to play.
Everything in this tier has a powerful alternative in the higher tiers that will just do a better job, no matter how they're used - unfortunately, these Minis will need to wait for a balance patch to shine.
Rank | Mini | Mini Type |
---|---|---|
D+ | Angry Chickens | Squad |
D+ | Arcane Blast | Spell |
D+ | Living Bomb | Spell |
D | Plague Farmer | Unit |
D | Vultures | Squad |
D | Mountaineer | Unit |
D | Molten Giant | Unit |
D- | Spiderlings | Squad |
That sums up our Warcraft Rumble Mini Tier List. As you can see, there are some clear great choices, with Defias Bandits and Gryphon Rider taking the cake as two of the most powerful units in the game. They have great stats and put in a lot of work for their cost.
However, you should also remember that you need to create a balanced team, rather than going purely by ranking. Some units have certain effects that, while making them powerful, interact differently with the map. For example, an all flying team wouldn't be able to interact with things like Meeting Stones, which would be a huge weakness.
