Whether you're new to the game or have already spent many hours playing it, you'll no doubt be aware that many events are regularly organised to keep players interested. What is the Golden Blitz event on MOGO?

In Monopoly GO, you have to progress on game boards, in much the same way as in the board game. To help you out, you can take a look at our list of free MOGO dice links. But there's another important element too: the cards, or stickers. In practical terms, when you play Monopoly GO, you can win packs of cards that you have to collect.

Once all the cards in a collection have been found, you can earn various Rewards and progress on your boards. Generally speaking, the majority of stickers are easy to obtain and those you have in duplicate can be exchanged with other players. In this way, you get rid of your useless cards in exchange for stickers you don't own.

If you look at your albums, you'll see that there are gold cards (see our guide on how to get Monopoly GO gold cards). These cannot be exchanged. That said, there is one event that allows you to do so, and that's the Golden Rush, also known as the Golden Blitz.

Next event Golden Blitz Monopoly GO

This rare event, which lasts for a very limited time, gives you the chance to exchange duplicate golden stickers for stickers you don't have, up to a maximum of 5 times. Please note, however, that during the Golden Blitz, not all gold cards can be exchanged. In fact, each time the event takes place, two cards are offered for exchange. If you already own several copies of these cards, you can exchange them. However, if you don't own either of these cards, you'll have no choice but to wait for the next Monopoly GO Golden Blitz event.

Date of the next Monopoly GO Golden Blitz event

The Golden Blitz is an event that doesn't appear very often in Monopoly GO. Usually, when a new album starts, this event appears after a few weeks, as the season draws to a close. To give you an idea, the last (still ongoing) "Making music" season began on 28 March 2024 and the last Golden Blitz appeared on 25 April 2024, almost a month later.

During this last event, the two exchangeable gold cards were :

Rare find from set 14 "Spin City"
La Traviata from set 21 "Bel Canto".

Early reports of the next Monopoly GO Golden Blitz event suggest that it will return on 14 May 2024. However, this date has not yet been made official and is therefore subject to change. What we do know are the two gold cards that will be available for exchange:

Broom rock from Set 19 "Rockstar dreams".
Funky music from set 18 "Disco time".

As for the time, it's not yet known. But if you've already taken part in one of these events, you'll certainly know that you need to be very reactive. Most of the time, the Golden Blitz only lasts 24 hours maximum.

The Golden Blitz MOGO is an easy-to-understand event. If you already play Monopoly GO, you'll probably know how to exchange stickers. During the Golden Blitz, the principle remains the same. The only difference is that the cards that can be exchanged are imposed.

For some time now, the game has offered a secure exchange system that you can use at the next Monopoly GO Golden Blitz event. First of all, you need to find people you trust to trade with. Then add them to your list of friends. Once you've done that, go to the gold card you have in duplicate, click on trade and then on the friend of your choice. Your friend will be able to accept or decline your offer.
