mo.co beginner's guide

In this mo.co beginner's guide, I give you all the tips and tricks you need to get off to a good start in Supercell's monster-hunting adventure! How can you progress quickly and effectively? How can I improve? We'll take a look at how to get started with mo.co in the best possible conditions. And if you haven't tried out the game yet, we've got a mo.co invite code to share with you !

mo.co beginner's guide: basic mechanics

mo.co has the advantage of being entirely F2P, meaning that you won't need to spend any money to unlock new equipment. As a result, you progress through the game solely by collecting resources and XP, which will enable you to unlock new and improved equipment, as well as new maps and additional missions.

Fighting in the mo.co beginner's guide

mo.co gives you access to different maps and several game modes , which we'll look at later. But the principle remains the same: hunt monsters and bosses in multiplayer, duo or solo mode. In this mo.co beginner's guide, we'll see that equipment is at the heart of the gameplay. At Mobi.gg, we've put together a complete list of mo.co equipment !

Understanding mo.co equipment

There are three different types of mo.co equipment:

  • Weapons: there are melee weapons, ranged weapons and healing weapons. Some weapons also allow you to summon companions to help you in battle. In reality, the weapons in mo.co define your play style. They are the main elements of your build.
  • Gadgets: in combat, you'll need to activate these items manually to take advantage of their effects. In this mo.co beginner's guide, we advise you to choose gadgets that work in synergy with your weapon. For example, if you've opted for a melee weapon, choose gadgets capable of inflicting damage from a distance if you're playing solo, so as not to feel overwhelmed. If you're playing multiplayer, then make sure you have a gadget that will help you boost your damage. You can choose from 3 gadgets to complete your build.

The weapons in the mo.co beginner's guide

  • Passives: these are bonuses that you'll need to choose depending on the weapon and gadgets in your build. Unlike gadgets, passives don't need to be activated manually. In this mo.co beginner's guide, once again I recommend that you opt for bonuses that will boost your ranged or melee damage. And to get you off to a good start, add a passive that can heal you or increase your HP.

Other mo.co equipment includes mounts that improve your movement speed, and connected rings that you'll unlock when you reach elite hunter status. To identify the best equipment for a good build, check out our mo.co tier list!

Play mo.co in a group, rather than solo

You can play mo.co solo, but the game was designed to be played in multiplayer mode. In this beginner's guide to mo.co, I strongly advise you to play with other hunters. And to take things even further, I even recommend that you join a guild, called Clans in the game. The good news is that you can join several guilds and enjoy a number of benefits:

  • Take EXP and loot more easily and in greater quantity.
  • You'll find it easier to beat difficult monsters.
  • Finishing rifts will be much quicker and easier.
  • The ability to create custom lobbies.
  • Take part in 100% multiplayer events.

mo.co's daily jobs and game modes

As I said earlier, there are several game modes in mo.co:

  • Daily jobs: I strongly recommend that you take part in these to collect EXP, loot, kits and resources to improve your guide. Be careful, if you don't take part in the daily jobs, they won't be offered to you any more!
  • Rifts: You have no choice but to take part in the rifts, as they are part of the game's campaign. They also allow you to collect XP and resources to improve your equipment. In this mo.co beginner's guide, I advise you to take part in as many rifts as possible, to speed up your levelling.

mo.co game modes

  • Long-term missions: these are projects, which are actually extended missions consisting of killing specific monsters. Projects are much harder to complete than daily jobs, and I'd advise you to try out several weapons. Thanks to these specific missions, you'll be able to unlock exclusive equipment!
  • PvP: You can try out PvP solo (in a Battle Royale-style format) or as part of a team. In the latter case, you'll be fighting against an enemy team, which requires a lot of coordination. However, in this mo.co beginner's guide, I'd advise against trying out PvP mode in the early game, as it doesn't offer you much XP.

Another little tip: don't neglect the training mode, especially when you unlock a new weapon. It'll help you get the hang of it!

mo.co beginner's guide: useful tips

Finally, here are a few tips for getting started with mo.co:

  • Don't smash the attack button: you're bound to do this when you start the game. However, I suggest that you think about your positioning and analyse the behaviour of the monsters. mo.co isn't that easy to get to grips with, especially if you want to become an elite hunter!

Training mode in the mo.co beginner's guide

  • Focus on levelling up: take part in the events and game modes we've already discussed, which will allow you to earn EXP and loot to improve your equipment. This will allow you to take advantage of the mid-game content, which is becoming more interesting.
  • Spend your tokens efficiently: in the shop, you can buy more or less useful stuff. Wait until you can buy really useful equipment, rather than spending your tokens on useless outfits.

Now you know how to get started monster hunting, thanks to our mo.co beginner's guide! And if you ever feel like improving your skills, don't hesitate to check out our mo.co tips and tricks section!
