Fontaine, as the Hydro Nation of Genshin Impact is all about water and is surrounded by the sea. With such a setting, it's only natural to encounter oceanic wonders like Lumitoile. Lumitoile, resembling a Starfish, lurks beneath the waves or along the coast. And to save you time, we've crafted a guide detailing all of Lumitoile locations, and how to easily acquire it in this Lumitoile Genshin Impact farm guide.
Genshin Lumitoile is a local specialty unique to Fontaine, so you'll need to visit and unlock plenty of teleport waypoints first to make your farming much more convenient.
If you have Neuvillette, you'll need to farm Lumitoile as it's essential for his ascension. Currently, no other character or recipe demands this material. To reach Neuvillette's highest level, level 90, you'll require 168 pieces of Lumitoile.
Besides hitting up spots where Lumitoile is plentiful, you can snag four pieces just by speaking with Ottnit in the Fortress of Meropide the first time you meet. Sadly, that and hunting for Lumitoiles are the only ways to get your hands on them for now.
Lumitoile Genshin is a material often found in the upper part of the Fontaine region. To aid you in pinpointing these Lumitoiles, simply refer to the images below to uncover all of their locations.
Finding Lumitoile on land is easy as they're usually placed near the shoreline. However, the underwater ones can be a bit trickier to locate. Those submerged tend to cling to structures and the ocean floor, so keep a sharp lookout. Unlocking all nearby teleport waypoints in the area will also make it easier to collect each one. Plus, utilizing the Official Genshin Impact Interactive Map will be a massive help.
There are a total of 79 Lumitoiles scattered across Fontaine, and it takes 48 hours or two days for them to respawn. That being said, it might not be sufficient if you're aiming to ascend a character to level 90 in just one day. However, you can always hop into other players' worlds to farm for them.
While you're around, be sure to check out our Genshin Impact materials guides.
Some Genshin Lumitoile can be quite vexing to farm, but fret not! You can take advantage of characters with a passive skill that reveals the locations of local specialties on your minimap. In Fontaine, Lyney is the only character with this passive ability. Additionally, you can make use of other utility passives from these characters:
Neuvillette: Increases underwater Sprint SPD for your own party members by 15%.
Freminet: Decreases Aquatic Stamina consumption for your own party members by 35%
