Some common cards are sometimes underrated. Today we're talking about one of them in our Clash Royale Minions guide. With our tips and tricks, learn how to play the card effectively, but also how to integrate it into a deck that highlights its qualities and makes up for its flaws.
Minions strengths and weaknesses
Clash Royale Minions card is available from the Training Camp. It is a common card that costs 3 Elixir units. It deploys 3 minions that target ground and air units at a melee distance of 1.6 squares.
Minions move quickly through the air and attack every second. They inflict a lot of damage, but have very few health points.
Its main advantage is its ability to do damage quickly if the card is not defended. However, a simple Zap or Arrows spell is enough to counter them.
How to play Clash Royale with Minions?
During your attack phases in Clash Royale, Minions must be sent behind another unit. Indeed, their health points do not allow them to reach the opponent's tower before dying.
Use them to accompany tanks or mini-tanks and protect them from the air. If you get the upper hand and they manage to reach the tower, their damage can quickly deplete its HP.
On defense, Minions are effective against tanks and mini-tanks, since most only target ground units. On the other hand, they do not allow you to stall and are not always enough to prevent your towers from losing health points.
If Minions are played by your opponent, choose a card that deals area damage, such as a Spell, Baby Dragon or Wizard.
The best Clash Royale Minions deck
Before we begin composing the best Clash Royale Minions deck, it is important to note its main feature, which is to be a 100% air deck. Playing with these cards is relatively risky because of the lack of ground presence.
Its use requires a minimum of level on the game since you have to be strategic to take advantage on your opponent. Indeed, you don't have any spells or units to slow down the enemies' progression. The objective is to attack your opponent so that he doesn't have time to counter-attack.
Fortunately, with this original deck, you have a great chance of catching your opponent off guard since he probably won't have enough weapons to defend so many air troops.
To open your attack, the best way is to send your Lava Hound. In addition to its high resistance, its death releases six Lava Rockets that continue to inflict damage. Once your Hulk has cleared the way, send your Balloon to inflict maximum damage on the tower.
To consolidate your attack, use the Baby Dragon combo and Inferno Dragon combo to counter both tanks and large units. If you don't have the Baby Dragon in hand, Skeleton Dragons also deal area damage, but have fewer hit points.
On defense, go for the Mega Minion which causes heavy damage, as well as the Minions and Bats which shine with their numbers.
That's it for this Clash Royale Minions guide. Now you know how to play the card and in which deck. All that's left to do is apply our tips and tricks to earn trophies and reach the top arenas. For more decks and card guides, please visit our Clash Royale tips page.
