Hog Rider's strengths and weaknesses

Clash Royale Hog Rider card is available from Arena 5: Spell Valley. It is a rare card that costs 4 Elixir units.

On the back of a pig and armed with his hammer, the Rider only targets opposing buildings and ignores units that stand in his way. He has a short melee range of 0.8 squares. Its damage is decent, but its attack speed is quite low, as it hits every 1.6 seconds.

Its main asset is its ability to quickly sneak up on an enemy tower. However, its life points do not allow it to resist enemy attacks for long if it is not protected.

How to play Clash Royale with Hog Rider?

To optimise your attack phases in Clash Royale, place the Hog Rider behind a tank. Be careful, however, that the tank has enough of a head start to be targeted before the Hog Rider, which moves very quickly.

To support your attack, send in Skeletons and Ice Spirit, your two cards that only hit for 1 Elixir. Depending on your opponent's response, use your Fireball or Log to buy your Pig Rider precious seconds.

On defense, your options are limited to two cards: the Cannon, the cheapest building in the game, and the Musketeer, to be placed at the back of the field so that it stays on your side of the deck as long as possible.
