Archero 2 Beginner's Guide | Tips and Tricks

Archero 2 beginner's guide

Missed out on the first instalment of the Archero licence? Don't worry! Here's a complete Archero 2 Beginner's Guide, to help you get to grips with the different gameplay mechanics of this cute and colourful roguelite. There's no better way to get your little archer off to a great start!

Archero 2 beginner's guide: understanding the gameplay

Archero 2, like the first game, is a roguelite. In other words, as soon as you die, you have to start all over again. To help you progress more easily, talents, blessings, gear and skills will be available to you. But we'll come back to that later in this Archero 2 beginner's guide.

Mobility, essential in Archero 2

To get this Archero 2 Beginner's Guide off to a good start, bear in mind that you'll need to move around a lot. You'll soon realise that enemy projectiles come from everywhere. So you'll need to find the right balance between keeping moving to avoid them and staying still to send arrows.

Tips for the Archero 2 beginner's guide

As the chapters progress, this notion of balance will be put to the test. So you'll need to be constantly alert and make quick decisions to get as far as you can in the game and beat the waves of enemies.

Energy in Archero 2

Archero 2 is made up of chapters, each with several levels. To reach the higher chapters, you'll need 5 energies. Energy takes 12 minutes to recharge. So you may run out of this resource after a while, for example when you get stuck in a chapter. But don't panic!

Energy in Archero 2

In this Archero 2 beginner's guide, I advise you to watch advertisements to obtain 5 extra daily energies. You can also spend gems (which you earn by completing daily quests), bearing in mind that 100 gems give you 20 energy.

Finishing a chapter also earns you 5 energy, enough to move on to the next level.

How do you build your Archero 2 build to get started?

Now that you know the basic principles of the game, let's get down to the nitty-gritty of this Archero 2 beginner's guide. We're going to look at how to build yourself an effective build, so that you can progress through the chapters. As we've said, a build is made up of skills, blessings, talents and gear.

Choosing your skills

Skills are unlocked as you gain XP (in the form of little blue crystals). Abilities are passive or active skills that allow you to be faster, stronger, have more life or acquire specific spells. Skills come in several varieties: common, rare, epic and legendary.

Skills in Archero 2

In this Archero 2 beginner's guide, I can only advise you to opt for skills that allow you to acquire two orbs around you, or spirits. Orbs and spirits generate damage independently of your shots. In an early game, this will be a big help!

The blessings of the Angel and the Valkyrie

The Angel's blessings are unlocked just before encountering a boss. They generally involve bonuses to your HP or attacks. When you're just starting out in Archero 2, I'd advise you to focus on improving your HP, which will help you survive longer. Once you're more comfortable, don't hesitate to boost your attacks with the blessing of the angel.

The Valkyrie's blessing, on the other hand, will be randomly offered to you during your various runs. You can only choose two blessings, which are often very interesting. Try to choose one that combines well with your skills!

Talent cards

The gacha system in Archero 2 concerns talent cards. You'll unlock the 'Glory' talent on your first attempt, which allows you to obtain a talent at the start of a run. Talent cards are obtained with coins, the cost of which gradually increases. Your first spin will cost you 800 coins.

In this Archero 2 beginner's guide, I strongly advise you to spend your coins on this gacha, as the talent cards will prove very useful.

Gear

Gear in Archero 2 is unlocked once you've accumulated a certain amount of experience (or completed the first chapter of the game). Gear is very important and clearly helps to boost your build. They include new bows, amulets, helmets, rings, armour and so on.

As you progress, you'll also unlock the blacksmith , who allows you to merge identical pieces of gear to improve their stats. This is a step that should not be overlooked, as it will allow you to create heroic gear!

Archero 2 beginner's guide: final tips for the early game

To conclude this Archero 2 beginner's guide, I'd like to offer a few final tips to help you get your adventure off to a good start:

  • Take part in events: this will allow you to acquire essential resources.
  • Check out the shop : it's not necessarily necessary to spend real money in Archero 2 (although the beginner packs can really help). In the shop, you'll find chests of common, rare and epic gear.
  • Watch out for the Demon Deal : if you're familiar with roguelites, you should be familiar with the Demon Deal. If you're not, you should be aware that it can clearly be detrimental to your game, as it offers you the chance to lower your HP in exchange for in-game benefits. Don't hesitate to refuse the Demon Deal, especially in the early game, if you want to play it safe.
  • Complete the daily quests: as well as familiarising you with the mechanics of Archero 2, these will give you some interesting rewards.
  • Joining a guild: here again, rewards can be obtained (as well as invaluable help coming directly from the gaming community).

That concludes our Archero 2 beginner's guide. Follow my advice carefully, and you should find it much easier to progress and enjoy the game! You can check out our other Archero 2 tips and tricks, for even more useful guides.
