After the 12.23b patch released before the winter break, the year 2023 starts with the TFT patch 13.1, which brings many changes to balance the game meta. As the set 8 is still new, the next few weeks will be decisive to define the direction the meta will take. TFT patch 13.1: set 8 traits changes
We start the changes of this TFT patch 13.1 with the traits, marked mainly by the A.D.M.I.N. origin rework that should improve their importance in the games.
On the nerf side, it's the Brawlers and Spellslingers that will be less impactful in the meta. For more details on classes and origins, check out our TFT Set 8 Traits guide.

Damage increases from 60/150/150 to 65/165/200.

Attack and power damage bonuses are increased from 10/30/50 to 10/30/55.

Mascot
The maximum HP bonus recovered every two seconds decreases from 1.5/3.25/6.5/12% to 1.5/2.5/4.5/10%.
Renegade
Extra damage is reduced from 40/80% to 40/70%.
Supers
The base damage increase is increased from 20% to 18% and the additional damage bonus per 3-star unit is reduced from 5% to 3%.

Duelist
The attack speed bonus per basic attack is increased from 6/12/20/30% to 5/10/16/24%, but the effects can be cumulative up to 12 times instead of 10.
A.D.M.I.N
The bonus for 6 units is reduced from 180% to 100%, but after elimination, units gain 25% attack damage, 25 power, 20 mana, 350 health, and a final bonus of 20 health. The start-of-combat and ally-death bonuses of Programs are reduced to compensate.
TFT patch 13.1: set 8 champions changes
Many champions are impacted in TFT patch 13.1. As we'll see later with the Augments heroics that are undergoing a lot of changes, the holiday break of almost a minus at the beginning of set 8 gave players time to explore the meta and abuse the TFT set 8 best comps. This leads us to a major patch with major buffs and nerfs of some champions.

His armor and magic resistance increase from 60 to 70, his mana from 90/90 to 66/66, his spell damage from 100/150/900 to 111/166/1000, and his revival HP threshold from 40% to 30%.

His spell now targets the largest group of enemies and moves faster when there are no more enemies in range, but the damage of his spell is reduced from 50/70/250 to 45/65/210.

Rammus
The armor bonus of his spell increases from 130/175/225% to 150/175/205%.
Urgot
The bonus of his spell increases from 30% to 40% damage and 10% to 20% attack speed. The duration of the spell is reduced from 1.25/1.5/5 to 1/1.5/5 seconds. The chance to raise a treasure increases from 12/15/100% to 15/25/100%, but the chance to raise a component decreases from 20/30/90% to 15/25/75%.
Vi
The armor reduction of his shield is increased from 40/50/70% to 50/50/50%.
TFT patch 13.1: set 8 Augments changes
The only augment buff in TFT patch 13.1 is for the Thrill of the Hunt I augment, which increases the healing per enemy killed from 300 to 350 HP. On the other hand, there are 4 augments that are removed from the set (Blue Battery, All Different I, Double Trouble I, and Pandora's Items), and many others suffer nerfs. Logically, with the recent addition of hero optimizations, many of them are undergoing adjustments to balance the TFT patch 13.1 meta. This should still be the case in the next patch, even if the long end-of-year break accentuates the effect on this update.

Finally, there are very few changes in the TFT patch 13.1 items with three buffs and three nerfs. Still, we note the buffs of the Dragon Claw and the Infinity Edge, powerful items in the set 8 meta.
