That's right, Supercell is about to release a new soft launch game, 7 years after Brawl Stars, its most recent game to escape its Supercemetery! The Squad Busters soft launch will soon allow you to discover the publisher's latest creation. Your favourite characters from the Supercell games are back in this title. The studio recently unveiled updated mechanics for Squad Busters, ahead of its release on 23 April in 8 countries. Here's the lowdown.
We already told you about Squad Busters when we reviewed its closed beta last year. It's clear that the game has come a long way since then, and looks pretty solid and full of promise.
In terms of gameplay, you take on 9 other players in a battle royale. You play as a character who has to create his own squad. To do this, you need to collect gold coins by killing mobs, which will allow you to open chests containing other characters. Grow your squad and eliminate other players to win!

Of course, a host of mods will be available to make each game different from the next. But the latest announcements ahead of the Squad Busters soft launch have given us the chance to find out a lot more about the game.
Your favourite characters from the Supercell games start out as 'babies', and you'll need to collect duplicates to fuse them together and upgrade their abilities. To collect new characters, you earn a chest at the end of each game, which becomes rarer if you finish high in the game leaderboard.
By upgrading your Squad Busters characters, you'll unlock more powerful forms, as well as portal energy and progression points that will allow you to unlock new worlds, so you can unlock new characters, new maps and new mods.
Thanks to the Squad Busters soft launch, we've also discovered Mega Units, ultra-rare fusions that can change the face of your game. These Mega Units, like many other rewards, can be unlocked in the Gem Pass, where you can advance by collecting gems as you play.

And that's not all, as a new world has been revealed. After the green world, the desert world and the royal world, the new beach world is inspired by Boom Beach. You'll discover a host of mods, new mobs and three new characters: Penny the Pirate, Heavy the Tank and Tank the Tank Driver.
At Mobi.gg, we're very hopeful that Squad Busters (and Mo.co, another Supercell game that looks set to hit the stores) will live up to its publisher's quality standards and enjoy a global launch. Let's just hope it doesn't meet a similar fate to other games such as Clash Mini, Everdale or Clash Quest, which are now resting in the Supercemetery.
Frustrated that you don't live in one of the eight countries involved in the launch of Supercell's new game? You can get round this problem by using a VPN like CyberGhost. To be able to download the game on your Android and iOS device, simply configure your VPN in one of the soft launch countries: Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Canada, Mexico, Singapore. Then all you have to do is download the game to your mobile device.
Get ready to discover your favourite characters from Clash Royale or Brawl Stars in frenzied games that you can play with your friends. Of course, we won't be missing the Squad Busters soft launch and we'll be covering the launch (if it happens!) so you can get the best start in the race for gems.
