After Season 3, which introduced Trios mode, it's time for Rocket League Sideswipe Season 4. On the agenda: a new random game mode, a medieval arena, new items and the season's Rocket Pass. We take a look at all the new features together.
Rocket League Sideswipe season 4 new features
Rocket League Sideswipe Season 4 plunges us into a medieval atmosphere with the new arena: Eggscalibur. This arena takes place within the walls of a castle whose facades are covered in stained glass.
To equip your vehicle in the theme, earn new customisation items in the Rocket Pass, such as a Battle Axe or Mage's Hat for accessories, as well as the Incantor and Magic Missile turbos and the Rad Rock and Quartz goal explosions that unlock at level 50. Amongst the other rewards, there are three vehicles: Komodo, Endo and Fennec.
New items will also be available in the shop, such as the Sea-nicorn avatar, Sword banner, Lime Green wheels Dragonair and the Quasar IIII goal blast. Finally, by logging in with your Epic Games account, you will be able to unlock rewards related to the PC and console versions of RL.
Mutator Madness game mode
Rocket League Sideswipe Season 4 welcomes a new game mode. In the games of Mutator Madness, several parameters are randomised, such as gravity, the maximum number of jumps, but also the type, speed and bounce of the ball.
At the end of the game, players are invited to vote for or against the settings they have just played with. The settings that receive the most positive votes during the week will be kept for the whole weekend and will earn more experience points. The Baskets game mode is also making a comeback in ranked games for a limited time.
